We held our AGM last Saturday which saw new committee members voted in, including a new President for the next 2 years.

Barton & District RUFC is deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Vic Jackson, a proud former player and referee of our club.

He always checked in to see how the team was getting on, and he will be greatly missed by Barton Rugby and the wider rugby community.

Our thoughts and sincere condolences are with Vic's family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. 🔴⚪️🔴⚪️

Here is your Barton team for one last time this season. The boys are at home to Pontefract with a 3pm kick off. 🏉

The lads will be wearing ‘sh*t’ shirts after the game, so if you’re around the clubhouse, join the lads in wearing one. 👔

Starting with the front row, Maxx Matthews and Cam Ayres are tight head and loose head props with Travis Bullivent between them at Ho**er.

Behind them in the second row are Ben Matthews and Eddie Bradley. Then Barton’s back consists of Tom Marlow and Taylor Blackie playing as flankers, and Niall Hammond-Blackburn is this week's No. 8.

Keeping his place as scrum half this week is Harry Trowsdale, and stepping in at fly half this week is Nathan Foster. 💪

In the centres this week are George Taylor inside and Nathan Branker playing alongside him at outside centre.

The back three this week sees Bradley Chapman retain his place on one wing and Ashton Laity moving out to the right wing. Rounding up the final team outing of the season is the Captain, Connor Frank, playing fullback. 🙌

A lot of experience and depth on the bench this week, and all will be itching to get on one last time and make a difference in what will be a very tough and competitive game.

So for one final time, good luck to the lads involved, go hard, go well and leave nothing on the pitch! 🔴⚪️🔴⚪️

This Saturday, we're playing Pontefract RUFC at home.

Kickoff is 15:00 at the Barton & District clubhouse.

And sadly, it's our final game of the season.

This week, the lads are at home to Driffield. They have been preparing well in the buildup to this game, as they know it won’t be an easy task.

Kickoff has been brought forward to 14:30.

Barton’s front row is as follows: Maxx Matthews and Cam Ayres as the two props and Travis Bullivent in the middle of them at ho**er. 💪

In the second row, there are Niall Hammond-Blackburn and Eddie Bradley. Then behind them, two in the back row are Nathan Branker and Taylor Blackie as flankers and George Cronshaw as the number 8.

Onto the backs; at scrum half sees Harry Trowsdale make a start, and Ollie Brett returns to play fly half. 🏉

This week’s two centres are Sonny Gough at inside centre and Ashton Laity at outside centre.

The back three this week for Barton are Brad Chapman and Jono K**k on the wings and the captain, Connor Frank, playing fullback.

A few replacements on the bench this week, all hoping to come on and make a difference in the game. 🙌
