Crazy how different my trainings been this week, just from eating extra carbs

Nothing else has changed, yet I’m back to adding reps & weight to movements

After being stuck for weeks just about holding on

Moral of the story? Eat plenty of carbs pre workout & throughout the day

To actually fuel your sessions properly

“Cardio is boring”

Of course it is, but it’s necessary

A simple trick you can use is to watch a series or find a good YouTube channel to watch whilst you do it

YouTube is dragging me through my cardio at the moment

I’m a coach because I know what it feels like to be out of of shape and not recognise yourself

and I don’t want others to feel how I did

Meet Matt..

A Dad, working a demanding job with long hours

His evenings are spent coaching kids rugby

He’s just become a Dad of 2

So a lot going on, with minimal time to train

He’s always been a gym goer

But found himself out of shape

Not enjoying training, just there to tick a box

But in 6 weeks he’s managed to tidy himself up, shifting 5kg

But how?

I gave him structure around his training (to the point he’s enjoying it again)

Structure around his meals so he doesn’t have to think

and the accountability to follow the plan through

That’s it

So if you find yourself in Matt’s position where you’re training

But you’ve let yourself go

And no matter what you try, you’re just not seeing results

What’s the best rep range to build muscle?

Science says 5-30 reps

But over say 15 your muscles get fatigued, which is not what we want

We want to create tension & go close to failure

So I prefer 8-12 reps, taking sets to failure

Week 15/ 16 ✅

Getting very close now!

1.4kg down this week & visually loads leaner

Couple more days of digging then we can start the carb up

As someone who’s been overweight and unhappy before, I know how you feel

But if you put the work in, like I did

You’ll feel 10x better

and life will be far sweeter

There’s good things coming to you

You just need to put the work in

Want to see what happens when you finally admit you don’t know what you’re doing?

Dan was stuck in a rut for 2 years

Working hard and training but not progressing

We spoke for a long time before he finally signed up

and since he has, it’s been nothing but progress

9kg down in 11 weeks, hitting his lowest weight for 20 years 🤯

Just from following a plan, listening & implementing advice

Training 4 x per week (no more than before)

Following a nutrition plan

Hitting a step goal

and being ruthless in his ex*****on

With a whole lot of accountability to keep him on track

If you’re working hard but seeing no progress

It’s time to do something different
