40 4-man teams took part in the Holker Estates Texas Scramble yesterday in breezy but dry conditions. Congratulations to all the winners and, as can be seen from the results sheet, there was some exceptional scoring. A big thank you to all competitors for supporting this very popular competition.

107 gents played for the Jubilee Trophy, sponsored by R. F. Miller & Co, today in dry but breezy conditions. Congratulations to Ben Rebello who won with an excellent score of 44 points. He started the back nine with a double bogey and then had 4 birdies to come home in a one under par 34. A thoroughly deserved win.

We held our last medal competition of the summer season yesterday in calm and mostly dry conditions. 109 took part in the Holmes Trophy and the eventual winner was Mike Wilkes with an excellent score of 77 - 13 = 64.

130 gents played for the Scratch and Long Handicap Trophies at the weekend. MKM sponsored the day and Paul Curwen, from MKM, came along and helped with the presentation of the trophies. The Scratch Trophy, which is for handicaps of 10 and below, was won by long-standing member Bryan Rhodes with a 72 gross. The Long Handicap Trophy, which is for handicaps of 11 and above was won by another long-standing member, John Spoor with 89 - 24 = 65. In the photos. along with Bryan, Paul and John, are Bryan's wife, Lorraine, and Vice-Captain Jake Reynolds.

Last Saturday was the Gents' President's Day hosted by our President, Stewart Moscrop. 150 took part in windy and difficult conditions. In the evening there was a presentation and it was appreciated by Stewart and his family that every prizewinner turned up for it.

Thursday's Midweek Stableford result

46 pairs played in the Gents' Invitation on Sunday. It was a 4BBB stableford competition sponsored by MKM who were represented on the day by Paul Curwen. The winners, with an excellent score of 48 points, were John Elliott and Bob Gilmour. MKM had a free raffle for some of their promotional items and this was won by Dave Fenton.
