It’s been a very successful weekend at Barrow CC.

On Saturday the First XI had a comfortable away league win at Penwortham by 6 wickets.

On Sunday, the Thirds won by 5 wickets at Kendal while the Women’s team enjoyed a double success winning by 32 runs in the morning at Sedgwick and by 93 runs at Arnside in the afternoon.

The Firsts also made it two out of two as they cruised to the second home win over Great Eccleston inside 9 days. In the 40-Over Cup this time they won by 137 runs.

The only side to taste defeat this weekend were the Seconds who were beaten by 21 runs by Windermere Firsts at The Pass on Saturday.

Action at the Pass this week sees the Seconds host Kirkby Firsts on Thursday evening in the T20 cup with a 6.30 pm start.

The Firsts entertain top of the league Fleetwood on Saturday at 12.30pm.

The Thirds welcome Sedgwick Thirds on Sunday from 1.00 pm
