📸 🙌⚽🧤 GOALKEEPING CAMP 🧤⚽️🙌📸

A huge thank you to all the goalkeepers who came along to yesterday’s Camp – the attitude, energy and commitment you all showed was first class.

It was great to have Barrow AFC’s number 1, Wyll Stanway at the camp, chatting and inspiring the next generation with his presence and support, taking time for photos and autographs at the end of the session👏

It was also great to welcome back two goalkeepers who used to be regular attendees at Camps and sessions alike (Harrison & Sophie) who volunteered to support the young keepers with a real energy and enthusiasm 👊

A big well done to Carson and Harry who took away their respective groups top 🐈 awards for their attitude, application and effort to everything we did.

It’s great to see keepers push each other, learn, and keep raising standards together. 💪

Finally got round to sorting the pictures from a great little camp last week!

We got all 4 seasons of weather in the morning but the keepers cracked on, had fun and hopefully took away something new!!

Big Thanks to Sophie for making the step from a GK that attends the Camps to one who volunteers and supports the younger keepers. Really appreciate that help!!

We were also able give the Nike Footballs gratefully received from Georgia Stanway a first outing - big thanks again 👊

I would like to give a massive shoutout and say a big ‘Thank You’ to Georgia Stanway for her incredible gesture in providing Nike footballs to support Grassroots Football here in her hometown, Barrow. Only days on from making history in Switzerland with the Lionesses this summer, she is straight back to supporting her roots 🙌⚽

I’m passionate about developing local talent and inspiring the next generation of goalkeepers and players and support like this goes a long way in helping young footballers dream big!

Thank you G, for remembering your roots and giving back to the community that helped shape your journey. You’re an inspiration and role model both on and off the pitch. 👏🧤

What a morning up at Holker Old Boys AFC in the Sunshine with some great little goalkeepers. We were able to focus on footwork to get the body in line with the ball, some basic handling and everyone’s favourite … diving.

Sessions for keepers age 7-9 will be returning after the Easter break, if you have a young keeper or goalkeeper within your club who would like to learn about the basics of the position while having fun, please encourage them to get in touch.

The next goal keeper 6 week block is available to book onto.
