Barrow Island vs Furness Rovers 🤝

That was the final league game of the season and its safe to say, we ran riot today! Brilliant effort from each and every single one of them.
The goals just kept flying in all game!
We saw some brilliant solo goals.. especially kaidens goal with his quick feet and fantastic dribble to then smash it in the net. We had 2 double hatricks from Florence and Oscar. Florence thriving in the first half and then Oscars super pressing to win the ball and go on to score in the second half.
We seen some beautiful crossed assists coming in from isaac and Noah.
Jaxon bagging himself 6 assists and being the absolute playmaker.. 2 coming from his own goal line!
Some of the goals scored were beautys! They all defended and attacked so well. The only thing I can say is there was points where we were getting too greedy and the team play went out the window a bit but.. massive win to end the season on a high 😁
*Highlight of the game was the whole team walking off with a big smile on their faces as the season finishes on a high as u8s. Absolutely love it. They have done so well this season. Got themselves into a semi final and a final out of 2 cups. Beat some top top teams and showed everyone how much they're improving all season 💙

Player of the game was very very close but it had to be Florence 🏆 Florence was fantastic today! She was up and down the pitch getting stuck it. Put some real hard but clean challenges in. Made some beautiful runs and also scored some really nice goals! Her finishing was perfect today. Well done Florence 👏

Furness Rovers vs Millom 🤝

Really good physical game against these 2 teams today. The match could of went either way it was that close!
At the beginning, Millom got off to a flying start and scored a couple of sneaky goals but we managed to come back with a volley by Jax from an Oscar throw in to make it 2-1 but we soon went into half time 3-1 down.
We started to wake up a bit more in the second half where we were creating a lot more chances and putting in some great tackles and hitting them on the counter but unfortunately, we just couldn't put it away. We then got ourselves into next gear and hit Millom with a brilliant Jaxon assist from his own half to which Noah ran onto and slid it past the keeper to make it 3-2. We kept pushing and pushing after that but just before the full time whistle went, one of the Millom lads scored a spectacular goal that no one was keeping out!

All in all, our lot worked their socks off and got stuck in. It just wasn't our day today and we were up against a really strong Millom team.
*Highlight of the game has got to be the 1st goal for us. It was very quick thinking by Oscar to take the throw in quickly to Jax and then Jax followed it through with a stunning quick volley that shot straight into the bottom corner 👏

Player of the game was Kenzie 🏆 that was probably one of kenzies best games so far this season and it was up against a strong team too. The way kenzie was tracking back, putting in a massive tackle and getting it back up the field was class. He played out his instructions and He didn't put a foot wrong. well deserved. The improvement in kenzie throughout the season has been amazing to watch. well done Kenzie 👏

First things first, I want to say a big well done to our lot for getting as far as they did and reaching the final. They were in the hardest group and came out 2nd. They hit 4 goals in the semi and didn't concede any. Today just wasn't our day. I still think the game should of been at a neutral ground with a neutral ref but that wasn't the case today unfortunately.

We can take some positives out of the game though. There was times where I seen some beautiful link up play going forward, some really good goal keeping and at points, some good defending. We just let them have too much space in our half but, it's all a learning curve and that's just a taste of what to expect in the finals. I also loved that no matter the score, they kept their heads up and kept going at them trying their best 👏

Player of the game today was Vinnie 🏆 he gave it his all and he was constantly making big brave saves and making the right decisions on when to come out or stay on his goal line. The scoreline could of easily been a lot more if it wasn't for our little number 1 so well done vinnie 👏 another top performance from you.

First things first... We have made it to our first ever final! 🙌
Absolutely quality effort from the team today, they all played fantastic! The way they were passing it around was unbelievable! I was very impressed.
We also finished the game without conceding any goals due to our brilliant defenders and keepers 👌 it was a class game to watch.
I am going to give a special mention to Theo for his excellent work rate. He kept his head in the game all game and worked his socks off. He was also very unfortunate not to get on the score sheet but did register an assist, he had a really good game and he was a very close contender for player of the match along with Oscar who also had a very good game.

Player of the game was Jaxon 🏆
Jaxon was doing it all today! He was getting stuck in, was up and down the field attacking then defending, playing some really nice passes, also made some crucial saves when he went in net and also got on the score sheet. His all round game was just unbelievable 👏 Well done Jax

Furness Rovers vs Holker Hurricanes 🤝

Our first game back at soccer bar tonight because of all the great British weather we have had this winter and I've got to say, what a game! I'm sure all the spectators will agree on that. I've got to give it to the opposition, they turned up tonight and gave us a real game and didn't give up until the very end, they snatched the equaliser with a goal no keeper would be able to stop in the dying minutes.
The game itself was so close all match! A great physical battle from start to finish 💪
Both teams defended so well tonight.
I was really impressed with our lot tonight though. The team was swapping around every 5 minutes but they were adapting to it well and all stayed focused. All of our players got stuck in.. were trying to create chances all game, making some nice off the ball runs and very nearly managed the win.
In the end though, both teams probably walked away deserving a draw.
*Highlight of the game has got to be our kenzie's bicycle kick! It was not far off going in that was for sure but the best part was, he ran over to me buzzing that he actually pulled a bicycle kick off 😂 a quality moment from our little engine of the team.

Player of the game tonight was Florence 🏆 Florence put 110% in tonight!! I had a little talk to her before the match and said be confident at everything you do and go do them skillful dribbles I know she can do and that's exactly what she did. I'm pretty sure she skilled everything single one of their players in the end 😂
I also want to mention how physical she was. She got stuck right in and showed absolute no mercy. The oppositions coach even asked where we scouted her from hahah Well done Florence, well deserved 👏

4 games, 2 wins, 1 draw and 1 defeat which puts us into the semi final on goal difference 👌 that was a very hard group to play in so to come second in it just shows the progress this team is making as the weeks go on. They should be so proud of themselves as they all played fantastic and got the job done which was to qualify for the next stage 👏

First game, we were up against the feared Crooklands Black's. the way they battled and got stuck in that game was amazing! Crooklands are a very very strong team so to only concede one against these is an achievement in itself and that was only because little vinnie had the sun in his eyes when they had a shot so couldnt actually see the ball. After that though, vinnie kept us in it massively by pulling off a fabulous triple save to deny Crooklands. Every one of them got stuck in and didn't let Crooklands faze them!

We then went onto play Crooklands Oranges. Again, another close game! A good end to end game where there was goals from both teams. Oscar managed to scream a penalty into top bin and then noah took a corner in the dying minute which then hit one of their players and went in to win us the game. Some good chances created from our midfielders and also a big shift from our defenders to deny the Oranges having chances.

The game after was against celtic lions. We have some good games against these and today was another one. No team could score in this one, both of our defenders were superb keeping them out the game. Also, well done to our midfielders that kept tracking back and help out at the back. We had a few attacking chances but just couldn't score. A good draw in the end.

The last game was vickerstown blues. We knew we needed to win this game to go through so the spirit from the whole team was brilliant. They attacked a lot quicker, created good chances and managed to put a couple of goals away to win the game 👏

All in all, an absolute brilliant morning of football from each and every single one of them. I am super proud of them and into the semi final we go 😁

*Highlight of the day has got to be Vinnies triple save in the Crooklands Black's game. I honestly thought they would score but Vinnie kept bouncing up on his feet and throwing his body on the line to keep them from scoring and then after the 3rd shot, he managed to dive on the ball to smother it. It was fantastic goalkeeping keeping from our number 1 👏

Player of the day today was Kaiden 🏆 it was a hard decision today, there was a good few of them that could of easily got it but the way kaiden defended and read the game was absolutely quality. I kept kaiden in defence all the time he was on the pitch because of how well he was doing. Even when he was defending on his own, he kept focused and managed to read where the attackers were going and put big interceptions and tackles in to prevent them getting passed him. He didn't put a foot wrong today. Well done Kaiden 👏

Another good game between these 2 today. It was an end to end physical game.
It was an exciting game to watch but unfortunately for us we ended up on the losing side when the full time whistle went.
I thought our lot played very well today though, they were tracking back as a team, passing it around well and also created lots of chances.
Congrats to Florence making her debut today and scoring 👏
*Highlight of the game has to be Vinnies penalty save 👌 that's the second penalty he has saved this season. Well done vinnie.

Player of the match was our Vinnie 🏆 I thought he was excellent in goals today. He was making some really good saves and is improving each week. He also managed to save a penalty which was really impressive. The second penalty he has saved this season. Well done Vinnie 👏
