Great news!

🚴 Big news for North Devon! 🌿

We've approved a £2.2 million investment to complete more sections of the “missing link” on the Tarka Trail between Willingcott and Knowle. This means safer, traffic-free routes for walkers, cyclists, and horse riders – and a huge boost for local communities and tourism.
✅ New off-road paths
✅ Upgraded bridleways
✅ Improved visibility and rest areas

Once complete, we’ll be closer than ever to a continuous off-road cycle trail from Ilfracombe to Plymouth – that’s 70 miles of safe, scenic routes! 🚲

Work is underway, and this is a major step toward finishing the 32-mile Tarka Trail, supported by 95% of respondents in public consultation.
