🎾 LTA Tournaments Continue at WBS!

We're delighted to continue hosting LTA tournaments as part of the Devon Lexus Junior Tour and the Whirlwind Mini Tour at West Buckland School.

These are external competitions open to all eligible tennis players, with entries submitted directly through the LTA website.

We look forward to welcoming players and families from across the region to West Buckland School and seeing some great tennis on court!

On 22nd August, the WBS Golf Society held its very first meet at Saunton Golf Club!

It was fantastic to see so many golfers from across the WBS community coming together for the occasion. A huge well done to our top three:

🎉Welcome Back & Congratulations to Our Sports Leaders!

As we begin a new term at West Buckland School, we're delighted to welcome everyone back and look forward to another fantastic year of sporting opportunity, teamwork, and success.

We are also proud to recognise our Sports Pillars, who will represent and champion sport across the school throughout the 2026-27 academic year:

This week we're looking back to March 2026 and the Rosslyn Park National Schools Sevens, where our U14 girls represented West Buckland School.

Showing incredible determination, resilience and team spirit, with half of the squad playing above their age group, the girls rose to the challenge and secured an impressive victory to finish top of their pool. They progressed to the Cup Round of 16, where their remarkable tournament journey came to an end against strong opposition. A fantastic achievement for a team making their WBS debut. 🏉💪🏼

Now, the countdown is on to an exciting summer of girls' rugby with Exeter Chiefs Women preparing to host the first-ever girls-only residential rugby camp at West Buckland School. Taking place from 3–5 August, the camp offers an incredible opportunity for girls to develop their skills, build confidence and learn from some of the very best in players.
