Wonderful day in glorious weather for our 25th Annual Mixed Triples Tournament of Daisy’s Day.

28 triples in this years round robin competition raising money for our President’s Charity South West Blood Bikes - Serving Devon a £687.84. We were pleased to have volunteers come along and show the bike to our members and competitors.

The winners of the day were Neil, Steve and Chrissie from Ilfracombe Bowling Club. Followed by runners up of Graham, Mike and Gill from Braunton Bowling Club and in third place Peter, Paul and Ann from our club.

Thank you to all those who helped make Daisy’s Day from the kitchen team, bar staff, organisers, raffle sellers and the green keeping team.

A wonderful day at the the club as members gathered for our annual Sam Lee Mixed Triple Competition. This year, we were proud to dedicate our in-house competition to Armed Forces Day 2026 in recognition of the outstanding service and sacrifice of our Armed Forces community.

We were especially honoured to welcome veterans to join us for a commemorative group photograph, with members proudly dressed in red, white and blue. The club was adorned with flags in support of our Armed Forces, creating a fitting and patriotic atmosphere throughout the day.

As we celebrate Armed Forces Day 2026, we extend our heartfelt thanks and deepest gratitude to all those who have served and continue to serve in our Armed Forces. Your courage, commitment and dedication to our country will always be remembered and appreciated.

Lest we forget, and thank you for your service.

A reminder there is just under a month to go until the deadline for entries of Daisy’s Day.

We have space for 4 or 5 more triples. It would be amazing to fill the remaining triples with members from different clubs.

Homeward bound after a great few days away on the Men’s Tour.

Today we played at Bath Bowling Club and we were victorious, winning on 4 of the 6 rinks. In total we scored 355 shots and 15 out of 19 rinks over the 3 days, making Mr Ellis our most successful captain. Although he did end up having to look after Rocky for the coach ride home.

Thank you to the Tour Committee for organising an awesome weekend for 31 men. Same again next year!
