WE ARE BACK! ✨

DQ Dance Academy is officially back in the studio from tomorrow, Tuesday 1st September!

We can’t wait to welcome everyone back, get back to dancing and start another exciting term together💓

There will be no dancer of the weeks or star student of the month for August as we have only had half a month - these will return as normal in September!

Get those dance bags ready - we will see you tomorrow 🩷🖤

We are welcoming new students to DQ Dance Academy and would love to introduce more dancers to everything DQ has to offer!

Whether your child is completely new to dance or already has years of experience, we have a place for them to learn, grow, build confidence and most importantly, love dancing💖

CHECK MATES × DQ Dance Academy

This October, Miss Yasmin and I are taking part in Barnsley Hospital Charity’s Strictly Glitterball, helping raise vital funds for breast care patients at Barnsley Hospital.

For me, this is what community collaboration should look like.

DQ Dance Academy brings together young people, families, confidence and creativity through dance.

Check Mates brings people together through chess, conversation and connection.

Two completely different communities — coming together for one local cause.

Barnsley Hospital Charity helps fund things that go above and beyond standard NHS provision, supporting patients, families, staff and improvements in care.

So between now and October, we’re going to have some fun with this.

Expect dance practice, chess challenges, behind-the-scenes moments and plenty of opportunities to get involved.

And if I can survive learning the routine, we’re already halfway there. 😂

✨And that’s a wrap for the term!✨

We have now officially broken up for our 2 week summer break☀️

A huge thank you to all of our amazing dancers and families for another fantastic term. We are so proud of everything our students have achieved, and we can’t wait to see what the next term brings💓

Enjoy a well deserved break, make lots of memories and don’t forget to keep stretching and dancing!🩰

Our social media pages will still be active over the break, but posts may be a little slower than usual while we enjoy some time to recharge too💖
