WHY WE DEEP CLEAN OUR MATS 🧼🥋

At Flowstate, hygiene is just as important as training.

Our mats see a lot of action every week, so alongside regular cleaning, we give them a proper deep clean to help remove sweat, bacteria and grime that everyday cleaning can miss.

It helps reduce the risk of things like ringworm, staph and other skin infections that can spread quickly in grappling gyms.

Clean mats. Clean gym. Safer training. 👊🏼

We want everyone who walks through the doors at Flowstate to know they’re training in an environment that’s looked after properly.

CROSS TRAINING 🟢

On Sunday we took a few of the team over to AVT for their open mat 🤼‍♂️

We’ve always encouraged our members to cross train. Different environments, different styles and different people to roll with can only improve your grappling.

For us, a gym that’s happy for its members to train elsewhere is a massive green flag.

There shouldn’t be politics around where you can and can’t train.

Go to open mats. Train with different people. Make friends. Bring what you learn back to the room.

One of the reasons our juniors classes include technical games is simple: kids learn best when they're engaged.

Rather than just drilling techniques over and over, our games develop balance, movement, timing, problem-solving and confidence—all while reinforcing real Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu skills in a fun environment.

The children think they're playing. We know they're learning.
