🚨 Help us bring a second defibrillator to Shaw Lane ❤️

A recent incident at Shaw Lane Sports Club showed just how vital our defibrillator is — it helped save a life. Now we want to make sure emergency equipment is even more accessible across our site.

We’re raising £2,000 to install a second defibrillator outside the Griffin Suite, helping cover the rugby pitch, astroturf, Men’s Shed, bowling green and function spaces.

💚 £1,500 – Defibrillator, casing & pads
💚 £500 – Staff & volunteer training

Every donation makes a difference, and any extra funds raised will support future lifesaving equipment and first aid training.

FREE Touch rugby at Barnsley Rugby Club.
🗓️ Wednesday 20th May
⏰ 7pm to 8pm
📍Barnsley Rugby Club, Shaw Lane

From Age 14 upwards.

Following a review of the RFU regulations, for both Age Grade and Safeguarding requirements, we are welcoming players from age 14 to our non-contact Touch Rugby Summer activities.

Prior to participation, ALL under 18's must make themselves known to our Age Grade Chair and Safeguarding Officer to ensure we have all information required to maintain their safety whilst on site at Shaw Lane.

JUST 1 WEEK TO GO!

During the off season we are going to be running free Touch and Pass sessions on a Wednesday night 7pm!

This is just for fun, no pressure, no experience needed, just turn up and play for an hour!

👨‍🍳 Role includes:
• Preparing and cooking bar menu, breakfasts, buffets & event food
• Working match days, functions & private events
• Maintaining high food hygiene and kitchen standards
• Supporting prep, ordering & stock control

✅ What we’re looking for:
• Experience preferred
• Positive attitude and ability to work under pressure
• Team player with good time management
• Flexible availability (evenings & weekends required)

Barnsley RUFC / Barnsley RUFC - Minis & Juniors are delighted to announce Sam Moss as our age grade chair.

Sam has played at Barnsley since he was 10 years old and is a level 2 coach with previous experience coaching age grade rugby.

As we look to reinvigorate our age grade rugby at Barnsley, Sam will be our go to guy for regulatory advice (along with his trusty assistant, who we hope will follow in his dad's footsteps. 😊).

A busy night tonight at Shaw Lane with friends and families from both teams coming out to support this school night development game.

Also great to see the senior team from Barnsley RUFC there in numbers to support and encourage the lads (luckily we had extra post-game food).

A physical performance from the lads in this, their second competitive game.

It's been a real pleasure welcoming them and their families to Shaw Lane and we hope to see you all again.
