Big game tomorrow against Yorkshire Wanderers the lads need to fight back from the defeat on opening day and I’m sure they will always a good game against Yorkshire Wanderers who always put up a good fight

Barnsley charity 0-3 Game changers

Yesterday the boys travelled up the road to Royston to play Barnsley charity in a friendly match

The game started really well for game changers who were on the front foot from the beginning and creating plenty of opportunities but could seem to score until Brandon jones pressed the defence and goal keeper to win the ball back and pass it to Josh Glover who opened the scoring for the game changers with a beautiful finish from 30 yards out making up for missing a sitter from two yards out on his debut
The pressure kept coming from the game changers create more and more chances but could score another in the first half

The second half began and the pressure was still coming from the game changers when up stepped the man of the match Joe Deakin against his previous club who slotted in a lovely goal from the edge of the box not only was his goal beautiful but the way he pocketed the charity’s midfield was even better

After 60 minutes game changes reshuffled making 6 subs and the subs that came had to keep up the momentum and pressure and they did just that

70 minutes in Brandon Jones went on a beautiful run only to be fouled in the box Penalty awarded for game changers Jordan Ibbotson stepped up and scored the 3rd goal for the games changers to seal the victory

Not to forgot is how good the back 4 were for the game changers winning everything in the air and on the ground making light work of the attackers the full back 4 and goal keeper impressed everyone today keeping a lovely clean sheet on the road

The game changers are now starting to pick results up again and are improving massively week in week out the next challenge comes when we take on the Red Lion FC in the league on the 1st of march

Saturday the 1st of February a day to remember!!

Yesterday the lads travelled to maltby to play Zion new boys a bottom of the league clash

Over the last few weeks the lads have improved massively missing out on a good point last week at home against Sheffield Trinity FC they knew they had to bounce back and that’s exactly what they did do

5-3 OUR FIRST WIN this season it’s been a long hard fight to get to were we are however every lads out there has turned up week in week out to get to this point

Goals coming from Brandon Jones 2 Jamie Jamie 1 Cameron Harrison 1 Lewis Ripley 1

The first ten minutes didn’t start great we conceded early to a wonderful strike from Zion new boys but the lads continued to fight on and show the determination they all have to grab an equaliser and a 2-1 lead going in to half time,
The hard work was done in the first half we played a hard 45 minutes up hill (a big hill it was😂) the second half started with a game changers goal from Brandon jones to give the lads a 2 goal cushion which didn’t last for long as Zion new boys went on the score within 5 minutes of Brandon’s goal.
But on came Manger/Player Lewis Ripley and slotted in the 4th and subbed himself straight back off 😂😂
The lads started to believe it was about to happen 3 points were in sight until Zion new boys stepped up and scored a beautiful free kick but it didn’t down heart the lads.
With ten minutes left on the clock Jim Bob was through on goal with the keeper off his line he chipped the keeper to make it 5-3 and the points were in the bag⚽️⚽️

The lads will now travel to Sheffield next week to play Yorkshire wanderers in which they look to pick even more points up on the road

We are looking for players, in all positions who are willing to commit to our team!
We train every Tuesday at 5pm at the Vida anyone is welcome to come down and train
We play on Saturday’s in the Sheffield fair play league
