Tomorrow we play our final game of the season AWAY to local rivals Dodworth MWFC.

Always hard working, honest lads up at dodworth and it will be a tough game and a thrilling one for anyone fancying some Monday night local football.

Massive game as we look to get a result to hopefully keep us up, but ultimately it’s all out of our hands.

All support welcome. Bar will be open.

🟡🔵silkstone 3-2 Handsworth🔵🟡

Excellent win on the road for the boys in a massive 6 pointer, as we look to beat the drop.

We went into an early lead from an exquisite finish from the very impressive Liam Owen who lead the line excellent all day.

After some more excellent play, Alex Hutchinson slid in Liam Owen to finish low down to make it 2.

Then the goal of the season just before half time made it 3-0 with some excellent one touch passing finished off by Fin Taylor with an excellent headed finish. No words could describe the quality of the goal.

A massive blow just before half time as Mitch dunne scored a free kick on the stroke of half time.

Second half was very scrappy and we held on. Handsworth added a second in the last minute of the game but we thoroughly deserved the 3 points on the road. Some brilliant team defending and work rate saw us over the line against an impressive young handsworth side

Man of the match goes to Daniel Walsh. Very difficult week for Walshy personally, capped off by an outstanding performance.

We play our last game Monday AWAY vs Dodworth. All support welcome

A late goal by Mitchell Dunne made todays score Handsworth FC Reserves 2-3 Silkstone in their County Senior League Premier Division game.
Lads had a mountain to climb after being 0-3 down but almost snatched a point with a much improved 2nd half showing.

We head into our final two games now knowing four points will secure the title.

First up, a tough trip to Silkstone tomorrow evening.

They’re fighting to put some distance between them and the drop zone so everything is to play for from both teams!

A big performance here could put one hand on the trophy.

🔵🟡Silkstone 2-1 Hepworth🔵🟡

Silkstone United Triumph In Battle To Avoid Relegation.

A lively start saw Silkstone showing plenty of endeavour in the early stages. The home side took the lead after eleven minutes, Brad Hutchinson scoring with an angled shot from the left side of the penalty area. The lead lasted a minute as Robert Bartram headed home from close range to level the scores.
The persistence of the home side saw a shot from Alex Hutchinson well saved by James Birch in the Hepworth goal. The game swung Silkstones way on twenty-three minutes as Alex Hutchinson beat the offside trap, rounded the keeper to restore Silkstones' lead. Nicholas Guest ran through on 32 minutes butis shot went over the bar.
The visitors went close on 39 minutes when Matthew Brooke saw his header hit the side netting. On forty-three minutes, Hepworth were awarded a penalty but spurned the chance by hitting the post. The first half ended with Silkstone deservedly in front.

The second half saw more pressure from Hepworth but with no end result. It was Nicholas Guest who on 52 minutes saw his shot go just wide of the far post. His volleyed effort on 59 minutes forced the Hepworth keeper to make a good save. Not to be outdone, Hepworth striker Sam Thompson saw his shot hit the post after 62 minutes.
Hepworth United continued the pressure but couldn't break the resilience shown by their hosts.
A well deserved win sees Silkstone United move up to 10h place and they next face a trip to play Wombwell Main on April 1st (6pm)
