Well what a day we had on Saturday. We had 253 participants, we had visitors from the local cancelled parkruns as well as some visitors from Ukraine. We also had some fabulous young people from BYouth Barnsley Young People’s Service who graduated their couch to 5k, you were all fabulous and we hope to see you all again soon. If you have a young person that may want to take part in the future programmes, keep your eyes peeled on their page.

We had Stu completing his 250th volunteer and finally I completed my 500th volunteer. I follow a long line of amazing volunteers at Barnsley that have all completed 500. I hope everyone managed to get some cake.

We are very lucky to have an amazing committed core team at Barnsley but we are always on the look out for more volunteers so please get in touch if you can help.

Please be aware that the funfair is in the park so we do not have access to our over flow carpark today. We can still use the main car park.

When the main car park is full please be considerate where you park. We have had complaints in recent weeks about people blocking drives, its really important we don't upset those around us.

Please car share, walk, run or cycle wherever possible.

I cant believe its Wednesday already, the bank holiday has confused me.

We have LOADS of gaps on the roster, we need

1 x timekeeper
1 x funnel manager
2 x barcode scanner
3 x marshal

***Thanks to everyone who has volunteered for tomorrow, we are now good to go**

Last shout out, we need a funnel manager if we are going ahead tomorrow.

Dont worry if you have never volunteered before we can talk you through it and you will have lots of support on the day.

The main task of Funnel manager is keeping people in line as they cross the finish.

Please give me a shout if you can help out.

We will make a final decision at around 8pm (i am on holiday and the Internet is terrible but I will post an update as near to 8 as I can)

Morning all,

It would be great to get the roster filled asap this week.
We had a close call last week, as we are on holiday and have very poor signal.
Thanks to Rachael for stepping in to help fill the final gaps late on Friday night!!
