Here is what makes the Oxygen Zephyr worth a closer look.

Magnesium alloy frame, 21kg including the battery. Torque sensor motor that reads your effort and matches it in real time. Tektro hydraulic disc brakes. Shimano 7-speed gearing. Front mechanical and rear coil suspension. Integrated colour display. Rear rack rated to 25kg.

Available in Matt Black or Matt Red. Click and Collect through the Oxygen dealer network.

The roads are busier again. The school run is back. The morning commute has a different feel to it.

Get off the main roads and it tells a different story. Quieter routes, cooler air, light that is still worth riding for. Every Oxygen comes with lights and mudguards fitted as standard and hydraulic disc brakes that work in the wet.

If you are on the Fylde Coast and thinking about an Oxygen, this is the place to start.

Blackpool electric bikes in Cleveleys is a family-run shop covering Blackpool, Lytham, St Annes, Thornton Cleveleys, Poulton, and Fleetwood. They stock the full Oxygen range, offer test rides, and handle servicing and repairs too.

Choose your model online, select them as your Click and Collect point, and come in when you are ready. The bike is built and checked before you arrive. The team goes through everything with you before you head off.

Open Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 4pm. Appointment only on Sunday and Monday.

The days are getting shorter. The evenings are still warm. That window will not be open for much longer.

One of the best things about this time of year is that the trails are quieter and the light is still good if you time it right.

The September routine is back in full swing. Fuller roads, earlier starts, busier mornings all round.

But get off the main roads and it tells a different story.

The trails and towpaths are noticeably quieter now the summer crowds have moved on. More space, better riding, and the days are still long enough to make the most of it.

The S-Cross CB MKII is ready for it. Upright riding position, 24-speed Microshift gearing, Shimano hydraulic disc brakes, mudguards, pannier rack rated to 25kg, front and rear lights, and a USB port on the handlebars all included as standard.

Three battery sizes. Up to 70 miles on a single charge.

Phil M had his Oxygen for 18 months when the battery failed. His dealer had since closed down. He contacted Oxygen directly. They replaced the battery. He called it first class service.

Every Oxygen model the brand has ever sold is still supported with spare parts in the UK. For anything more involved, Oxygen and your nearest dealer are there for you.

Long-term ownership should not be a gamble.

We love hearing from our riders, especially ones like this.

Bob and Annette Culshaw have been with us for almost 10 years. Last week they completed a 290-mile trip with 11,500 feet of elevation gain on their S-Cross Mark 1s and sent us this message afterwards.

"The bikes performed beautifully. Now almost 10 years old and over 10,000 miles but still as good as new. Amazing product. Annette and I never stop singing their praises."

Looking for a route to explore this weekend? Here is one of our favourites.

The Trans Pennine Trail runs 215 miles coast to coast, passing right through South Yorkshire, which is Oxygen's home ground. Mixed surface, multiple entry points, and as much or as little as you fancy.

Pick a section that suits you and see where the weekend takes you. Both the standard and Limited Edition range are well suited to a full day out on it.
