💙 A very special pebble found its way to me this morning… 💙

One of our lovely Clubbercise family members, Anna, gave me one of Alex’s Pebbles before class today and the story behind it really touched my heart.

Alex was a bright and much-loved 13-year-old boy who sadly lost his life to su***de. In his memory, his mum Anna began painting and hiding pebbles for people to find. Since then, Alex’s Pebbles have travelled across the UK and around the world, spreading awareness, kindness, conversation and remembrance.

The idea is simple:
🪨 Find a pebble
📸 Post where it was found
🌍 Rehide it somewhere new
❤️ Help Alex continue travelling the world through the kindness of others

Anna and her family have hidden pebbles all over the place and even send them to people going on holiday so Alex’s journey can continue. What started as a mother’s love for her son has become something truly beautiful.

Mental health struggles can affect anyone, regardless of age, and Alex’s story is a reminder of how important it is to keep talking, keep checking in on one another and keep showing kindness.

We’re all set with ice lollies and low-impact choreo to help keep everyone cool and safe this week! Please note there is no class on Tuesday but all other sessions are running as normal:

🌈 Thursday – Clubbercise 6:30pm Wilthorpe
🌈 Saturday – Clubbercise 9:15am Birdwell

🪩 This week we’re celebrating our Clubber guys! 💙

It’s Men’s Mental Health week and I’d like to give a big shout out to our ultraviolet king, John, for this fantastic testimony left on the Clubbercise page today. You are an absolute legend! We LOVE the boundless energy you bring each week and it’s a real privilege to have such a wonderfully enthusiastic male role model 🙌🏻

Thank you to amazing advocates like John who help shine a light on the men who benefit so much from the confidence, community, and positive mental health boost that dance fitness can provide. 🕺✨

Our classes are open to all genders and anyone aged 18+. We pride ourselves on being a safe, welcoming space where everyone feels valued and part of our Clubber family.

Firstly THANK YOU for keeping classes so busy lately. As classes are getting fuller could I ask that if you can no longer make it you cancel with as much notice as possible — ideally 24 hours if you can?

Last week we had 4 free trial spaces booked where people unfortunately just didn’t turn up or reply afterwards. I completely understand plans can change, but when free spaces are requested and then unused it does affect me financially, plus those spaces could have gone to regular members waiting to attend.

I hate having to post things like this, but I know you’ll all understand and I really appreciate everyone helping classes run fairly for everybody ✨

Thank you again for supporting my little business — I honestly love this community so much and can’t wait to see you all this month 🥹🩷
