Most people fail at fat loss because their calories were wrong from day one, and they don’t even realise it. They’ve guessed, or they’ve googled, or they’ve copied some lad off Instagram who weighs four stone less than them and trains twice as much, and then six weeks in they’re either knackered and starving and rebounding, or they’ve not lost a pound and they’ve convinced themselves their metabolism’s broken.

It’s not broken, mate, the starting number was wrong, that’s all.

So I’ve built a calculator and stuck it on the site, free, no card, no daft email hoops to jump through, you put your numbers in and it spits out your maintenance calories, your fat loss calories and your protein target in about two minutes flat. That’s your starting line, properly worked out, actually yours not some bloke off TikTok’s.

Here’s the honest bit though, and this is where most coaches won’t tell you the truth, the calculator gives you the number but it doesn’t get you out of bed at six in the morning, doesn’t stop you eating the biscuits at nine at night, and it definitely doesn’t teach you how to hold onto the weight loss once it’s gone, that’s the actual work, and that’s what coaching’s for.

But you’ve got to start somewhere, so start with the number.
