Just a quick tidy-up and repair on this junior bat. The toe had a small split, so I opened it up to get as much glue in as possible, then clamped it back together. A couple of days later, I finished it off and now it’s looking like new again — ready to whack some cricket balls. 🏏

Another super busy week in the workshop getting bats ready for the weekend games 🏏

This time of year is always a bit hectic—but busy is better than bored!

The season rush is in full swing in the workshop 🔧🏏

Lots of rehandles and full refurbs going through at the minute, getting bats match-ready for round one. Not the quickest jobs, but definitely some of the most satisfying—bringing a bat back to life or giving it a fresh feel with a new handle.

It’s all about keeping the process tight and consistent, making sure every repair is solid and ready for the season ahead. Plenty of graft now so everything’s right when it matters.

If you’ve dropped your bat off recently, it won’t be long now 👊

Andrew and his son Theo popped by the workshop for what I thought was just a new cricket bat… but it ended up turning into a full junior kit! 🏏

Safe to say this is one happy young man who is now fully geared up and ready to go for the season ahead.

Jack’s a top-quality player and someone we’re really proud to support — not just for what he brings on the field, but for the way he carries himself off it as well. Proper good bloke and a great fit for what Grant Cricket is all about.
