Super proud of our girls that took part in this game yesterday, great to see them following their dreams of being rugby players!

Our girls training is back next Thursday and we always have space for more players, so if you have a daughter in year 10 or 11 why not come give rugby a TRY!

Thursday evenings 6pm start at Colne and Nelson Rugby Club 🏉

🌟 𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙖 𝙣𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙖𝙨𝙥𝙞𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙜 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙮𝙚𝙧𝙨! 🌟

Over the summer, girls from across the city who aren’t currently involved in a P2P programme have been coming together for open access sessions, developing their skills and learning from the Leeds Rhinos Women’s players they look up to💙💛

Last night they got the chance to put everything they’ve learned into practice and enjoy an opportunity to play at AMT Headingley Stadium 🏟️✨

A huge well done to every girl who has taken part over the past few weeks, you should all be very proud and are a credit to your clubs!👏

Unfortunately due to our amazing volunteers having other commitments this week we are unable to run our minis sessions. 🥺 We will be back next week so don’t miss giving our rugby a TRY With us!

All our sessions are free too! That is right free!! No need to pre register just turn up. 🏉

A great day today for our girls as they travelled to Stanningley RLFC to take on other under 15’s teams. Our girls played so well against some premiership teams and we can hold our heads up high and say we don’t look out of place! It was also great to see soo many girls playing rugby! 🏉

Our girls next competitive journey, will be the cup games, keep your eyes peeled for these fixtures!

Today two of our under 15’s girls pulled on a Bradford bulls kit as they played in a ‘futures of the game’ against Wigan warriors.

We are so proud of Izzy and Katie! They are both certainly ones to watch out for!

Izzy came to warriors after spotting the girls training up at Colne and Nelson Rugby Club and wanted to give it a go. We are so pleased she did, she has been a great addition to the team.

Katie is our captain after being a seasoned player with us. Katie leads by example and has really shone this season.

The rest of our girls visit Stanningley tomorrow for a festival. First kick off is 2pm if you need a rugby fix! Come cheer on the girls.

Today our under 15’s girls travelled to Featherstone Lions Arlfc for their girls tournament, the girls were up against some top competition including 4 premier league teams! The girls didn’t let this stop them as they worked hard in defence, keeping each game to low tries for the opponents and even managed a good few tries, with a 25- 0 score against the home team! Although they didn’t quite make the quarter finals they can certainly all be very proud!

We had lots of fun at minis last week, however we are now having a short break of two weeks as numbers dropped a lot due to the holidays.

We look forward to seeing you all again on 10th August.

Changes to mini’s

We are really sorry that we need to make further changes to the minis sessions. This has been very trial and error and the last thing we want to do is make the sessions inaccessible to anyone.

However due to the availability of our amazing volunteers all of whom give up their time to ensure we can continue to offer rugby, we need to move both minis sessions to the same time So our new times are now 5:45-6:30 for both age groups.

We really have done the best we can to prevent changes but this one couldn’t be helped.

We hope to still see you all there tomorrow. 🏉 any new players are also welcome no need to pre register just turn up meet our fabulous coaching team and have lots of fun.
