Today we have informed the league of our intention to fold, after 4 and half long successful years, player availability and general lack of interest in Sunday football has resulted in the club folding for a second time.

Kyle Pearson brought the club back to life, and since then, two treble winning seasons, two double winning seasons, 10 trophies, and countless memories have been made.

From our very first season conceding 10 at Sabden, to putting 23 past Thornton on a p**s wet through Tuesday night, weโ€™ve seen it all.

Thank you to every single person who came down to support at any time, thank you to Aj Mcdowall for helping run the club over the past few years, thank you to Kyle Pearson for his unwavering dedication to keeping the club afloat and a big thank you to everyone that wore the Blue and Red, itโ€™s been one hell of a ride.

Hopefully the club can be revived in the coming years, to continue the legacy, but for now, thatโ€™s all.

Back to winning ways in the league, after a ridiculous first half.

Charlie Whiteoak got off the mark for the season, after Harry McCarthy was upended in the area, Chaz stepped up and just about got it under the keeper.

IOTW levelled shortly after, a cross to the back post wasnโ€™t dealt with, and was tapped home for 1 each.

Harry Mccarthy restored the lead 10 minutes later, a lovely flick round the corner from Luke Tapper put him 1v1, and in typical fashion, he made no mistake. Credit to IOTW, they hit straight back, near enough from kick off, to make it 2-2.

Weโ€™d take the lead again, Ben Coffey marked his first appearance after a few years away with a lovely finish from close range, before Adam Crew registered his first of the season for 4-2.

Weโ€™re still not at half time yet.. IOTW reduced the arrears to 1, a strike from the edge of the area taking a huge deflection and finding its way in, but there was still time for another goal, as Luke Tapper found the net to give us a 2 goal cushion at half time.

A much more assured and mature second half saw us control long spells, Matt Pates and Ben Hind exchanged passes down the channel, before Patesy fired in for 6, and right on full time, Ben Hind got the goal he deserved for his hard work over the past few weeks, pouncing on a rebound for 7.

Not a vintage performance by any means, but itโ€™s back to winning ways.

MOTM: Matt Pates. Safe to say he was still feeling last nights vodka lemonades, but still a bundle of energy, doing his defensive bits and driving up the field, deservedly grabbing himself a goal.

A comfortable mornings work sees us safely into round 3 of the Lancashire Sunday Cup.

MOTM Ste Trickett grabbed 5, Luke Tapper helped himself to his first 2 back in Blue after 3 years away. Before Josh Walne, Reece Miller Harry Mccarthy and Adam Crew finished the scoring.

Daneshouse FC League Game

Daneshouse FC vs Pendle Blues
Burnley & District League โ€“ Game 5

Daneshouse FC went into their fifth league fixture against the reigning champions, Pendle Blues โ€“ a side theyโ€™ve always found tough to beat.

Determined to start fast, Daneshouse began with plenty of energy and possession. In the 15th minute, they thought they had taken the lead, only for the goal to be ruled out for offside. But minutes later, captain fantastic ._ahmedd set the tone, leading by example to fire Daneshouse 1โ€“0 ahead.

With the upper hand throughout the half, Daneshouse showed the ruthlessness they had been lacking in previous games. In the 37th minute, made a brilliant run in behind and squared for .hazeyfah , who coolly doubled the lead.

Moments later, a flowing team move released Zayd into space, who picked out the in-form Ismail. He unleashed a thunderous strike with his weaker foot into the top corner โ€“ a devastating finish to make it 3โ€“0.

Just before half-time, produced a Trent-esque pass to send .ali01 through on goal. One-on-one with the keeper, he showed great composure to slot home, giving Daneshouse a commanding 4โ€“0 lead at the break.

Pendle Blues were expected to respond in the second half, but any hopes of a comeback were crushed almost instantly. In the 48th minute, reacted quickest to a rebound from the keeper, making it 5โ€“0.

Only four minutes later, more trickery from Ismail opened up the defence, allowing him to slide the ball across for .ali47 , who calmly rolled it into an empty net for 6โ€“0.

Daneshouse continued to dominate possession, determined to see the game out with a clean sheet. Unfortunately, in the final minute, Pendle Blues were awarded a penalty, which they converted for a consolation goal.

The final whistle confirmed a statement victory โ€“ Daneshouse FC 6โ€“1 Pendle Blues โ€“ extending their winning run to five games on the bounce.

Next up, Daneshouse turn their attention to the Lancashire County Cup, where they face Chorley Rovers.

Full-Time: Daneshouse FC 6โ€“1 Pendle Blues

MOTM: Ismail Usman โ€“ a constant threat and clinical in front of goal.

Blues run out comfortable winners to make it 3 from 3 in the league.

The game started fairly evenly, with a couple of half chances dropping for each team, 15 minutes were on the clock when George Watson threaded a ball through for Harry Mccarthy to lift the ball over the keeper.

The lead would be doubled 7 minutes later, a delightful ball from Reece Miller to the back post was headed in by Josh Walne.

A flurry of goals before the interval, all came courtesy of Reece Miller, and each of the goals was set up by Harry McCarthy. A couple of long punts were expertly touched down by Reece Miller, a couple of passes before Reece slammed two home, and then added his 3rd right on half time to complete a 7 minute hattrick.

Kudos started the second half well, and grabbed a consolation goal. From there, the intensity of the game died, but there was time for Toby Sudderick to send a looping corner all the way in the back stick to complete the scoring.

6 goals, 3 points, and another assured performance.

MOTM: Reece Miller. Off minimal sleep, and a lot of beer the night before, a great performance from last years golden boot winner.

Daneshouse FC await next weekend, in a massive game for both sides.
