Barnard Castle Golf Club 18 hole parkland course on the outskirts of Barnard Castle. A warm welcome awaits you! Hares, rabbits and deer are also inhabitants of our beautiful course.

Peace, tranquility and superb putting surfaces await when you arrive at Barnard Castle Golf Club. Since its re-design several years ago, this new par 73 course has matured into an excellent 18 hole venue. Natural water hazards can catch you out , with streams and a pond coming into play no fewer than 15 times in your round - maybe more for some! And many new trees and shrubs around the course are now well established, creating more problems for an erratic shot. This easy walking, open parkland course is a picturesque spot high above the River Tees and presents stunning views of the surrounding Durham countryside. Visitors return to play the course year after year - tribute to the excellent condition and overall beauty of the course. This 6406 - white yards - par 73 offers a series of different tests, but keep the ball straight and it is very fair. There is an abundance of wild life on the course-curlews, pheasants and many other bird species are regularly seen. Once you have played the course and sampled our hospitality, you will want to return and to bring your friends. The Club Stewardess offers an excellent catering service, while a well stocked bar with a variety of beers, lagers, wines, spirits and soft drinks make for an enjoyable apres-golf experience at Barnard Castle

Visitors welcome, seven days a week.

Autumn is one of the best times of year to play Barnard Castle Golf Club. The course is in great condition, the colours across Teesdale are at their best, and the late afternoon light makes for a very special round.

From 2pm every day, visitors can play for just £25 per person.

Whether it's a catch-up with friends, a round after work or a first look at the course, there's still plenty of golf left in the season. Make the most of the last of the autumn light while it's here.

A great day of golf for BCGC at the Northern Golfer Champion of Champions at Longhirst Golf Club.

🌟 Nicky Lee Shield shot a 75 (+3), getting off to a fantastic start at three under through the first four holes. With six birdies on the card, Nicky finished tied 13th.

👏 Toby Rutherford posted a solid gross 79, finishing in 8th place.

Well done to both on representing the club and competing against some of the best golfers in the region! 🏌️‍♀️🏌️‍♂️
