Bike Park Wales sent a guy over who's racing there today. His shock wasn't feeling quite right. His mate had serviced it for him. The main piston valving assembly was missing completely from the shock. There was hardly any oil and there was no ifp charge. And on further investigation there was swarf in the shock as the blur compression dial had snapped releasing metal shards all into the shock. I have seen some things over the years. But this takes the biscuit 🤣🤣🤣🤣 unbelievable. Needless to say he's ready for the race now after a visit to my gaf😁😁👌✌️👍

Just a little post showing what needs to be done to a 38 air spring to get it working properly and stop that annoying sag they all get. You can see this one hasn't been kept up with it's annual service intervals and Fox added a little bit too much grease at the factory.🤣🤣

Customer brought this in. Just been serviced by a bike shop down the valley and was like a pogo stick, no rebound or compression at all . They fobbed him off told him it was ok when it left the shop. I got it on the bench and saw that the piston assembly was upside down and the shims in wrong order 🤔🤔Also been over tightened and a couple of seals crushed. Pretty unbelievable really and dangerous. 😧😧 Needless to say working like a charm now and ready to rock and roll 🤣🤣👌👌

Nice old set of Pike 426 U-TURN 140s. Can't tell you how many of these I used to do back in the day. Extremely labour intensive. Never thought I'd see another set but here we are. Great fork though and looked after will last forever. As these seem to be doing 😂😂👌

Oil was dirtbag in both units. Came up like new fair play working perfect.

Fox DHX 4.0 oil was nice.

Negative pressure build up. Causes the forks air shaft to get sucked in and a loss of travel. 😬😬👍

A few supplies. Always keep an excellent stock of seals for all makes and models of forks, shocks and seat posts.
