🔴⚫ Match Report | BANWELL FIRSTS 4-1 TIMSBURY ATHLETIC
Banwell travelled to Timsbury away after playing them in the first game of the season.
Banwell took home all 3 points with a 4-1 win. Reece Parsons put the Ban 2-0 up, with both goals coming in the first 5 minutes. Dominating proceedings, Banwell could have been 5 or 6 up before Timsbury scored a breakaway goal against the run of play to go into half-time with the score at 2-1!
Banwell showed a mature second-half performance, with a goal from Man of the Match Joe White, before substitute Ramel Smith wrapped it up and we came home with all 3 points.

🗣️ Managers Shaun and Jimmy said: “The lads gave us a good response to last week’s defeat by coming away from home to a difficult place to come and comfortably coming away with the 3 points! It was great to see Bartek get his debut and play very well! Reece Parsons was back in and showed us why we brought him to the club, taking his tally to 7 in just 4 games.
Joe White was absolutely outstanding today, completely dominating the midfield and showing fantastic positional sense every time Seb stepped out from the back, giving us that insurance, sitting in for him to make sure we were solid right the way through the game!
Arguably one of the best individual performances I’ve seen in my time managing football teams."
All round, a great win and we move onto next week against Welton!
