Congratulations to Matty and the Surrey Men’s team on their fantastic Inter Counties victory this weekend. It’s brilliant to see Matty leading from the front as team captain and winning all of his contests.

Back in December, one of our youth helpers added to her officials’ qualifications and is now a Contest Recorder, in addition to being a Time Keeper. This is a great achievement and great for the contest side of our sport to have such a fantastic young person stepping up and volunteering her time to help competitions run smoothly.

Setting an example to for other youth judoka, and inspiring youngsters to get involved in the future.

Well done — the club is very proud of you, and have fun at the upcoming events!

In December, we were very proud to see two more of our members grade to black belt. After years of hard work and dedication, this achievement is truly well deserved by them both.

Great work and congratulations to you both — and a big thank you to the uke who took the landings for them (you know who you are!).

Our young juniors were challenging each other to see who is the fastest whilst trying not to fall.

We had lots of fun at our Summer Camp in June.
Fun and games with lots of learning too. Learning through fun is always the best way!
Not to mention our hot dog lunch and judo colouring/wordsearches.
