Merstham Ambers took on Teddington Athletic FC Women’s Teams in their first league game of the season! With a newly formed team, many of whom had not played together before, it was a case of understanding each other’s strengths and learning how to work as a unit. After going 2-0 nil down at half time, the ladies regrouped and discussed what could be different in the second half and the third quarter showed how far they had come already. A couple of shots on target and some stronger midfield play enabled Merstham to have more possession and although Teddington got a third goal near the end of the match, overall, we are so proud of the Ambers resilience and growth. Every oak tree starts with an acorn and we are growing something special with this team 🌱☺️🖤🧡⚽️🌳

To quote the manager “Pride, positivity, passion and power” Ambers, you definitely did us proud!

🏆POM went to Beth for exceptional work breaking up attacking play in midfield 👏🏼
