We are pleased to announce that Castle Juniors FC, under the name Bangor Football Academy will be participating in the Subway NIBFA National League across the following age groups:

🔵 2009 - U12
🟡 2008 - U13
🔵 2007 - U14
🟡 2005 - U16
🔵 2004 - U18
🟡 2003 - U18

TALENTED Bangor footballer Jay Reid has been taking advantage of the lock down to practise his keepy up skills.
The P5 pupil at Crawfordsburn Primary School has recently achieved a personal best of an incredible 1,079 – and is determined to do better.
Jay is a 2011 age group player who played for Glentoran before the season was brought to a premature end. He has been part of the Swansea City FC Academy, Rangers FC Advanced Centre in Belfast and also attends the Pro 2 Be Academy.
His dream is to one day play for Liverpool and Northern Ireland.

That last post didn’t age well!

No sooner had I mentioned staying open until further advice about school closures than they were confirmed.

In light of this, we are postponing all future classes until the situation changes and we are advised to reduce the need for social isolation.

In terms of payment, these will be frozen until such times going forwards. You are all owed three weeks of sessions and these will be held when we return.

I said yesterday that I was hoping that we could continue however at this stage it is no longer possible to do so and also follow government advice.

I wish you and your families a safe journey through this time of uncertainty, and if you need anything, please get in touch.

Just an update on things from me. I have sent out a few emails recently, but I’m case you haven’t received these, please add [email protected] to your safe senders list.

We have instated a no handshake/no high fives policy, and ask that all children wash their hands before and after the sessions as well. Anyone experiencing flu or cold symptoms or in a family where anyone is exhibiting these symptoms is to avoid the session at Eddie Irvine Sports please!

If further guidance from the government recommends that’s we shut down schools and avoid any gatherings then we will put Pro2Be on hold. Payments will be frozen and no further monies will be taken until we start up regularly. I realise that financial stability and well being is at the heart of everyone’s minds currently. Please know I will work with you all on this in the coming weeks and months.

I’m loathe to completely cancel, the children need an outlet and if they are to continue to schools then I will provide training for them as well.

Lastly, if you need anything from me, I will do what I can, whatever that may look like in terms of support.
