Honestly… I forgot this even existed! 😂
But hey! I'm Scott Meet your Savage Martial Arts Bangor instructor!
If you haven't met me yet, yes… I really can be this silly. 😅
But don't let that fool you! 😂 Let me tell you a little bit about me.
I've spent the last 4 years proudly teaching martial arts here in County Down, watching hundreds of children grow, develop and become the best versions of themselves.
I've also spent the last 18 years as a martial artist, developing my skills across a whole range of disciplines.
I specialise in Boxing and K1 Kickboxing, but I've also trained in Muay Thai, Wrestling, Traditional Ju-Jitsu, BJJ and MMA.
I've competed in Boxing, Kickboxing and BJJ, too.
But honestly?
That's not the part I'm most proud of.
Those are the skills I've developed for myself.
What I've done over the last 4 years is what really matters.
I've helped children become incredible martial artists. I've helped students take their first steps into competition. I've judged and refereed.
But more importantly, I've watched children develop confidence, discipline, focus, listening skills and resilience.
I've watched shy kids come out of their shells.
I've watched children push themselves further than they thought possible.
I've watched kids learn to stand up for themselves and develop the confidence to deal with difficult situations and bullying.
And that's what makes this job so rewarding.
Because I can't do the push-ups for them.
I can't build their confidence for them.
And I can't do the hard work for them.
What I can do is give them the tools, the guidance and the environment to develop those skills for themselves.
And that's what I'm passionate about.
Because martial arts isn't just about creating better martial artists.
It's about helping create stronger, more confident and more capable young people.
And if we can play even a small part in helping the next generation become the best versions of themselves…
then that's something worth doing. 🥋❤️
So yes… I'm probably going to be a bit silly.
But I take what I do with your children very seriously.
