A huge thank you to our senior swimmers who gave up their Saturday afternoon to volunteer at the Aquasprints Final in Lisburn this past weekend.

Their hard work, enthusiasm, and willingness to help played a massive part in making the event such a success. From supporting officials and coaches to encouraging younger swimmers, they represented Bangor Swimming Club brilliantly throughout the day.

We are incredibly proud of each and every one of them. Not only did they help ensure the smooth running of the competition, but they also served as fantastic role models for our younger swimmers, demonstrating the values of teamwork, commitment, and giving back to the club.

A massive well done to Niamh, Rebecca, Logan, Olivia, Aoife and Chloe— you should be very proud of yourselves! 🏊‍♂️🏊‍♀️💙💛

What a fantastic weekend at the Ian Wright Memorial Gala! 🏊‍♂️🏊‍♀️

We are incredibly proud of all our swimmers who represented Bangor Swim Club with determination, enthusiasm and outstanding team spirit throughout the event.

There were countless personal bests achieved, plenty of encouragement from teammates, and lots of memorable swims. It was especially exciting to see so many swimmers taking part in their very first gala. Stepping up to race for the first time takes real courage, and every one of them should be proud of their efforts and achievements.

We were also delighted to see several swimmers achieve qualifying times for the Summer National Championships in Limerick and Dublin. This is a fantastic reward for their hard work and dedication in training, and we look forward to seeing them compete later in the season.

The weekend also marked a special milestone for Bangor Swim Club, as we had our first swimmer with Down syndrome represent the club at a gala. Their commitment, hard work and enthusiasm were a credit to themselves and an inspiration to everyone involved.

A huge thank you to our coaches, officials, volunteers, parents and supporters for helping to make the gala such a success. Your dedication and encouragement are invaluable.

A fantastic day for Bangor Swimming Club at the 40th Anniversary Ards Open Meet today! 🏊‍♂️🏊‍♀️

Our swimmers delivered lots of fabulous fast swims throughout the day, with plenty of PBs, fantastic performances and medals to go around 🥇🥈🥉

A special highlight of the meet was seeing FOUR Bangor swimmers qualify for the exciting SKINS event — an amazing achievement and great experience for all involved!

Well done to all our swimmers, coaches, TMs and supporters for another brilliant day of racing 👏💙

Fixture 4 of the Aquasprints saw our young Bangor team travel to Banbridge for another fantastic display of racing and teamwork.

A huge thank you to our amazing young volunteers who gave up valuable exam revision time to support the team poolside!

Special thanks to our team managers, timekeepers, parents and coaches. Without your time, energy and support, events like these simply wouldn’t be possible.

Thanks so much to Banbridge Amateur Swimming Club for hosting and the lovely spread afterwards. We always look forward to your friendly welcome and fabulous swimmers! The vibe is always positive at your pool. 🫶🏻

A fantastic day of racing for our young swimmers at the Jack Beattie Memorial Gala in Lisburn today! 🌟🏊‍♀️🏊‍♂️

We are so proud of every BSC swimmer who took part, showing great determination, team spirit, and brilliant performances in the pool. For many, these galas are where confidence grows, friendships are built, and all the hard work in training shines through. 💙

Well done to all our swimmers for representing BSC so brilliantly today — you should be very proud of yourselves! 👏

A huge thank you to Lisburn City Swimming Club for hosting such a well-run and enjoyable gala. It was a fantastic event and greatly appreciated by all involved.

🏊‍♂️ Bangor Swimming Club – Cardiac Screening Session ❤️

Booking is now open for our upcoming cardiac screening session taking place on Saturday 16th May at Bangor Aurora, starting from 9:00am.

This screening is available for anyone aged 14 and over and is open to all club members, family and friends.

💷 Cost: £45 per person (payable on the day directly to the screening provider)

The screening includes:

✔️ Health screening questionnaire
✔️ Electrocardiogram (ECG)
✔️ Blood pressure check

All tests are carried out by qualified cardiac physiologists and reviewed by a consultant cardiologist.

In some cases, further tests such as an echocardiogram or Holter monitor may be recommended at no extra cost.

📩 Results are usually issued within two weeks and sent directly to your home address.

📌 Please note:
• No screening available for children under 14
• Anyone under 16 must have parental consent
