With windy and challenging weather over the wkd, the .ireland 1720 Southerns Champions certainly tested all the crews however a tight finish in the last race saw the crew of Swifty edge out T Bone by 1 point.

1st - Swifty - Robert O'Leary
2nd - T Bone - Durcan/O'Shea
3rd - Spiced Beef - Fionn Lyden

With 20 boats at the season opener, the Nationals from 12-14 June is shaping up to be a cracker.

Just under 2 weeks until the Doyle Sails Ireland 1720 Southerns. The first event of the 2026 season taking place in the Royal Cork Yacht Club, hope to bring some early season excitement with 7 races scheduled over the 2days. 16 entries confirmed with a few late entries expected.
