A really heartening fishing report for last week on the Dee. 760 salmon recorded in July – meaning catches are up 53% on the same month last year! And a mention in despatches for our guests at Tilquhillie who had a cracking few days:

“Jeremy Savill and his guests were fishing the Tilquhillie beat this week, Jack caught a 6lb salmon on Monday 29 July, his first ever – so congratulations to him, not to be outdone Jeremy persevered into the evening on Wednesday and caught a 6lb salmon again in Floating Bank.”

It is good to be able to bring positive news in the report this week. Looking at the statistics July has been an exceptional month with over 760 salmon/grilse recorded to FishPal so far, equating to a 53 % increase from July 2023.
