Systema Aberdeenshire Systema - the Russian Martial Art - is a highly effective approach to defence, fitness & health. No ranks, no uniforms, just practical stuff from day one.

Our clubs are friendly and non-competitive, exploring and learning the art Systema Ryabko/Vasiliev. The aim is to be calm; free from anger, irritation, fear, self-pity, delusion and pride to move naturally in the World.

Just finished the annual Matt Hill seminar in Aboyne, another superb event, great participation, lots of energy, plenty of movement, loads of relaxation & plenty new skills. Thanks to everyone who made the whole thing so much fun!

Reflections on inaugural seminar with Matt Hill in Aboyne, Scotland: excellent weekend, fabulous to train outside in the lovely oak woods of Aboyne & then inside the Victory and Memorial Hall in the village. Key take-aways for me were:
* impact of good posture on freedom of movement
* martial art as a healing art
* seeing people visibly relax using breathing
* linking ground movements to ground work- moving into the space
* getting hit a lot less with the stick than on Sweden Camp with Dirk & Matt!
* lots of new drills both with the stick and for ground work
* huge amounts of good will & joy from the event
