Shenington gliding club was formed over 20 years ago and has developed into a thriving and active centre for glider flying and training. We offer good facilities all y

ear round and operate a 7 days a week. For qualified pilots who wish to developed their skills further we can provide local soaring tuition as well as advanced cross country training. For the glider pilot we are virtually free from controlled airspace making cross country flying uncomplicated. Based in the centre of the UK qualifying distances are also easy to plan. We have a club house and bar with self catering area where you can just relax after your training session.

The airfield is 15 min North of Banbury, approximately. 45 minutes from Birmingham or Oxford and about an hour from West London. Arriving by Car From the M40 - Leave the M40 at Junction 11 - Go through Banbury, taking the A422 towards Stratford-upon-Avon - Shenington village is signposted left from the A 422, 5 miles from Banbury.
