A lot of people think they’re struggling because they lack motivation.

The truth is, motivation comes and goes.

The people who get the best results aren’t motivated every day.

They’ve simply built habits that keep them moving forward even when motivation is low.

✅ They train when they don’t feel like it.
✅ They prepare food when they’re busy.
✅ They get back on track after a bad day.

Motivation gets you started.

Habits keep you going.

Week 1 | June

What a great start to June 🎉

A productive week both personally and for Built By Habit.

✅ Welcomed a new team member, taking the team to 4
✅ Celebrated another trip around the sun for my sister 🎂
✅ Lots of fantastic 1-1 gym sessions
✅ Runs and strength training
✅ Built By Habit resources arriving
✅ A hike to finish off the week

It’s easy to focus purely on the end goal, but progress is built through the small actions repeated consistently over time.

Every run, every walk, every client interaction, every piece of content and every lesson learned contributes to the bigger picture.

Looking forward to seeing what next week brings. 🚀

Big Boys Can Run Too 🏃🏻‍♂️💪🏼

I’ve spent years enjoying the gym, lifting heavy, building strength, and honestly just loving weight training. But somewhere along the way people started acting like you can either be “a runner” or “a big guy” - apparently not both.

So here’s your reminder: big boys can run too.

I’m heavier than most people out on these courses, and that’s completely fine. I’m not built for speed or podium finishes. I’m built from years of squats, deadlifts, and a hell of a lot of food - and I still love getting out there and running.

Because running isn’t just about pace.

It’s about showing up.

It’s about enjoying the process.

It’s about proving to yourself that your body is capable of more than people expect.

Some runs feel amazing, some feel awful, but every finish line still feels worth it.

I’ll never be the fastest runner out there, and honestly it’s not important to me.

The clock doesn’t decide whether you’re a “real runner.” If you’re out there putting one foot in front of the other, you belong.

Lift weights. Run races. Take up space. But remember your ni**le tape 😂

I can honestly say I loved every moment; the crowds were phenomenal, the support was amazing and I crossed the finish line in one piece ✅

I’m going to do a full race rundown later this week, but for now I just want to say a massive thank you to all those who came and supported, and also to those who helped get me back in working order 🙌🏼

6km | Three Weeks Out ✅

With just over two weeks until race day, today’s 6km felt heavy. Legs were tired, energy was low, and every step reminded me that training isn’t always about feeling fast or fresh.

But here’s the thing: showing up matters more than feeling perfect. Not every run will be a breakthrough. Some days are just about keeping the promise to yourself - lacing up, getting out the door, and moving forward, even when your body protests.

This run wasn’t about pace. It was about resilience. About trusting that every “just get it done” effort adds up to something bigger on race day.

Weights X Running 🥵

After a few weeks away from weight training, it’s safe to say I can tell 😂

After yesterday’s strength and stability session, today’s run was defiantly heavier than usual in the leg department!

However, good to get some more miles in the legs before Sundays long run 🏃🏻
