Over the past few days, we have intentionally paused our usual communications as a mark of respect for the families of Sophie and Kerry during this devastating time. They remain very much in our thoughts.
As we look ahead to a number of important fixtures and championships, we will begin to share more updates from across the sport in a measured and respectful way, while continuing to keep Sophie and Kerry, and all those affected by this tragedy, at the forefront of our minds.
As a mark of respect, a two-minute silence will be held at 12 noon this Saturday at British Eventing fixtures, giving us the opportunity to come together in remembrance of Sophie and Kerry, and in support of their families, friends and everyone affected.
The compassion, kindness and respect shown across our community in recent days has been truly moving and we know these events will continue to have an impact for a long time to come. If you are struggling, please remember that support is available. The British Eventing Support Trust provides a confidential 24-hour mental health helpline, where you can speak to a trained professional at any time on 07780 008877.
Please continue to look after yourselves, check in on those around you, and show the compassion that defines our eventing community.
