🏈 New Flag Football Team Coming to Banbury! 🏈
We’re excited to launch the Cherwell Chargers ⚡️ Banbury’s first flag football team!
Flag football is a fast-paced, 5 on 5, non-contact version of American football that’s easy to learn, fun to play, and suitable for all experience levels and ages. Instead of tackling, players remove a flag from their opponent’s belt, making it accessible and inclusive for a wide range of ages and abilities.
It is the fastest growing team sport in the world, leading to it making its Olympic debut at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, which will bring even more attention to this exciting game.
Whether you’ve never thrown or caught a football before, used to play another sport like Rugby or Netball, or are already an NFL fan, we’d love to hear from you. We welcome all genders and are looking to build youth and adult opportunities in the local area.
