Banbury Tennis Club We play on the Banbury Sports Ground, situated off Horton View. Our tennis facility consists of six Please note that visitors are ALWAYS WELCOME.

Banbury Tennis Club is part of the Horton View Sports Ground to the south of Banbury, near the hospital. The tennis club has been in existence since 1973 and is the only tennis club in Banbury Town which has a population of around 45,000 people. The club has a growing squad of juniors and an active senior membership supporting teams in the Oxfordshire and Banbury leagues. In the past the club has been very successful having reached the National Club Finals (Silk Cut) on two occasions. The club is friendly and not all members want to play in matches, just come to the club nights through the summer and enjoy a pleasant drink in the bar to finish off the evening. With several club nights during the week, matches on a Wednesdays and at weekends and the occasional social event, there should be something for everyone. The club operates all year round and several hardy members make use of the floodlit courts and play throughout the winter.

A 25-year Danish study found that tennis players lived an average of 9.7 years longer than people who didn’t exercise, nearly three times the gain seen in joggers and more than six times the benefit associated with going to the gym.
