Yesterday afternoon during our club racing, two vessels unfortunately ran aground. While our own safety boat was quick to respond, additional assistance was required due to the conditions.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Lough Neagh Rescue, with crews responding from two stations, Antrim and Kinnego and a shoreside team from Ardboe, as well as the shoreside safety team, for their swift and professional support. Their efforts ensured everyone was kept safe and both boats were recovered without further incident.

It’s reassuring to know that such a dedicated rescue service is always there when needed. 👏👏

Many thanks to Mid Ulster District Council for ongoing support of Ballyronan Boat Club; this financial assistance allows us to maintain our boats to a good standard.
