🎖️Congratulations to David Workman on being awarded a British Empire Medal (BEM) in the King’s Birthday Honours today for services to Rugby and Community Relations in Ballynahinch.

David has been a stalwart of Ballynahinch RFC for decades, serving as its President and later becoming its Chairman in 2001.

Later he became the President of the IRFU Ulster Branch in 2007.

Great recognition for a great community man! Well done Worky 🙌🏻

🚨 Facilities Notice 🚨

Can we please remind people using the club that the 3 pitches on the clubhouse side of the road are all currently out of bounds- no exceptions- due to reseeding 🌱

We also need to ask that people do not interfere with the 3 robot mowers while they work at this time. As the three pitches are out of use there should be no reason to be near them

To help us plan for the upcoming 2026/27 Mini Rugby season, we're asking parents and guardians of new players to complete our Register of Interest form.

Whether your child is completely new to rugby or looking to join a fun, inclusive and community-focused club, Ballynahinch Mini Rugby offers a fantastic environment to learn new skills, make friends and enjoy the game.

✅ Open to new players from P1 through to U12
✅ Helps us plan coaching, facilities and team numbers

The club would like to go on record to congratulate Mark McCall on a fantastic 17 year career at Saracens

Mark’s first coaching role post playing was way back in the 1999/00 season when he led our 1st XV to the AIL division 3 title and a swift return to the 2nd division

Our senior coaching team were also welcomed to spend some time with the Saracens coaches back in Aug 2023 thanks to Mark which was very beneficial

Good luck in whatever next challenge awaits!

What a fantastic day of rugby at Ballymacarn Park as local primary schools came together for the very first Ballynahinch RFC Primary School Festival 💚🦌

From first-time players discovering the game, to our mini rugby stars showing off their skills, it was brilliant to see so many young players enjoying their rugby and representing their schools with such enthusiasm.

We hope to see many of these players joining the Club in the future, while welcoming back our mini rugby experts again next season!

Following the success of today’s festival, the Club is excited to continue building opportunities for both primary and secondary schools to enjoy rugby together in the future.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the day such a success 👏🏉
