This right here 👆 is everything I stand for and bursts me with pride. Having my family both in my place of work, seeing me exercise and watching Lochlán want to get involved and play too.

Setting an example for him is all I want to do in life, look after your family and your own health and work hard for them every single day

The cherry on the cake is watching him grow in confidence, knowing his colours (and BSL signs) and us being able to enjoy these small moments we once didn’t think we may ever have

It may not seem like much but it’s a big deal to us ❤️

My boy 🦸‍♂️

Here’s one final note; exercise is supposed to be fun, if you don’t have some play in it and it’s always serious, maybe you’re missing something.. if your a parent on your own fitness journey, make sure to include the little ones otherwise you may miss out on the whole point of it 💭

Wholesome Sundays with the family 🌳 🧺

I love nothing more than days like this, being out in the fresh air with a picnic and exploring the and Lochlán

I know I’ve talked about it a lot recently but it’s something that keeps coming up in conversation at work with clients especially coming into the better weather, parents dreading moments like this because of things like not being able to explore due to bad knees or bad backs.

Hoping the wains don’t need carried, simple things we shouldn’t have to think about but more and more lost opportunities and memories due to pain limitations. To quote “I couldn’t carry my son up and down them steps my knees would go”

I think we have a duty of responsibility as parents to be fit strong and capable to carry our children when their legs get tired to be that parent who’s fun, present and wants to do these fun things and make the memories and not saying “daddy’s tired son”

This is just my opinion.. but it’s something I hear a lot of.

The thing is it doesn’t have to be this way, and it’s not as hard as you think! If this triggers you in any way, let me know and I’ll happily talk you through it

Behind the scenes win 👏

came to me after a post resonated with her, we got a chat discussed what was wrong and invited her in for a walk through. Quickly identified what the issue was set her some “homework” and the rest is history. She’s now back doing what she loves and wants to do and is educated that when lifes niggles and curveballs comes up she is confident in her body and knows how to come out the other side. Job done ✅

This is what I love, getting people who are stuck back to where they want to be, and this was all done remotely 🙌

Feeling stuck? Tired spinning your wheels to no avail, get in touch to see how we can get you over the line too.

Happy Sunday 😎

Blessed to be living the life I am with my beautiful family! Working hard in both my business and my own personal health has allowed these moments to be fully appreciated and enjoyed, zero guilt just making memories that’ll last a lifetime time and I’ll get back to work as soon as I’m home so we can fully enjoy the next trip! Whatever you’re doing this Sunday make sure it’s filling your cup not emptying it..

What a weekend spent with the team at for the lower limb intensive course. Met some incredible people from all over the world, got over my fear of imposter syndrome and was made to feel right at home that was my big win 🥇

Coming away with knowledge that I can apply right away to make me a better coach but mainly to make my clients better is invaluable and i genuinely cant wait to get back to work 🙌

Thank you for the opportunity, the craic and the grub wasn’t bad either 🙌😂

Until next time 🤝

One of the most interesting things I learned about running the marathon was that I am more robust than I once thought 💭

A year ago I suffered a full patella dislocation and torn MCL, I worked on it and got myself back on my feet and even though I knew I had done the work required there was always the small voice (and my family’s 🤦‍♂️😂 ) saying “you better watch them knees boy”

Since Sunday the first question I kept getting asked is “well are you naw while sore, I suppose your knees are goosed”

Honestly, that wasn’t even a factor, my body held up fine even after a speed wobble around mile 18 🙈😂

And the thing is, that resilience wasn’t built in the last few months of prep, or the miles in training that was the last few years working on my strength, building strong robust joints looking after my mobility and ability to recover and the proof was in the pudding, I survived 5 hours of constant impact on my joints and running a lot heavier than I probably should have been 🤦‍♂️

but I was able to do it, carry my son back to the car and get back to work in the gym with no issues.

That’s my real flex, not that I ran it all (totally proud of myself) but more so of the work I’ve done to build a body capable of such things without breaking, now that’s an accomplishment 🙌

Pack picked up with the team and a reminder of why I agreed to do this in the first place. Raising awareness for all the deaf children of NI and my biggest hero my son Lochlán 🧏

Raising funds for by putting myself through torture 😂 I’m not a runner, never will be never claimed to be but if I can show up tomorrow and cross the finish line I’ll have proved to my son you can do anything you put your mind to, and to myself that I can still do hard things you just need the right inspiration.

Good luck to everyone tomorrow, just remember to smile!

Last minute donations welcome 🙏

I’ve spoken a lot recently about being present, changing my focus and goals being different.. and this is what I mean by focusing on my overall health now as opposed to just scale weight/aesthetic’s..

Healthy enough to feel good in my body.
Healthy enough to have energy.
Healthy enough to be fully present for moments like this 👇

Cooking a BBQ, family around, switching off, enjoying the weekend wind down ☀️

Because that’s what it’s really about for me now..

Looking after your own health isn’t selfish.

It gives you more to give.

More patience.
More energy.
More confidence.
More presence.

Even now, at 34, I’m training for my first ever marathon (never thought I’d ever say that 😂) 🏃

Not to break records.

Just to prove to myself I can still do hard things…
And to make my son proud.

Truthfully?

I feel better in my body and mind now than I did at 24.

And that hasn’t come from extremes.

It came from shifting my priorities and taking care of myself—physically and mentally.

Most people think health is about appearance.

For me, it’s about being able to enjoy life properly with and Lochlán but that comes with me doing the work behind the scenes too!

If you know you need to start putting some energy back into yourself, but feel lost, don’t have the time or energy to commit, you’re not alone!

DM SUMMER

And I’ll talk you through the next steps ✅

1 WEEK TO GO 😱

I take on in 1 week to raise funds for if you can spare a £ it would be greatly appreciated and go towards helping and providing a better future and education for all the deaf children in NI 🧏

Thank you
