💙 Ready for the next challenge? ⚽

Ballymoney United 2016 Girls are looking to add 2–3 committed players to our squad ahead of the new season.

Our group has grown into a competitive, hard-working team that trains with purpose, enjoys playing football, and supports each other every step of the way.

Over the past year we've enjoyed:
🏆 Tournament success, including Foyle Plate Champions 2026
⚽ Regular league football and tournaments
💪 High-quality coaching and challenging training sessions
🎉 Team bonding events, football trips and plenty of fun away from the pitch

We're looking for girls who already have some playing experience and are excited to keep developing. We train twice a week, play regular matches and tournaments, and ask for commitment, effort and a positive attitude.

Most importantly, we put the girls first. We want players who love football, enjoy working hard, and want to be part of a supportive team where everyone helps each other improve.

If your daughter was born in 2016 and is looking for a new challenge in a positive environment, we'd love to hear from you.

BUYA 2014’s Foyle Cup 2026

It was always going to be a challenge for BUYA 2014’s to surpass last years superb 3rd place finish, but our boys sure gave it a go!

In what was most definitely a tougher group this year, the boys finished their league in second place solely on head to head games against top placed Lisbellaw.

However due to a superior goal difference, the boys qualified for the last 16 once again with 4 wins, 1 draw, scoring 14 and only conceding 1 in the process. Quite a remarkable stat.

We would face of against Magherfelt Sky Blues in the knockout stages, losing to the narrowest of margins in a closely contested 1-0 game.

Next up it was Lisbellaw again in the final placing games. Although the boys gave their all, it was clear that the Magherfelt game was still in their minds and had taken a lot out of them and in the tightest of games would lose 1-0.

The boys brushed themselves down for the last day for games against Armagh City (friendly due to late team withdrawal) and would win 4-3 (a great result against an Armagh team that finished up in 11th place) and then a convincing 3-1 win over a greatly competitive Pheonix team to finish a more than respectable 13th place.

The coaches are delighted as always with this group and thank the parents who all put a lot into this week.

This team have a lot to be proud of and should look forward to next season with a lot of optimism 💙⚽️💪🤩

💙 Foyle Cup 2026 | BUYA 2014 Athletic Tournament Summary ⚽

What a week.

Eight matches, countless memories, and a group of boys who represented BUYA 2014 Athletic with pride from the first whistle to the last.

The results only tell part of the story. Throughout the week we competed against some outstanding opposition, showing organisation, resilience and a willingness to work hard for one another. Every game was fiercely contested, and aside from one difficult match, we were competitive throughout and gave ourselves every chance.

There were some fantastic moments along the way—from battling back to earn our first point, to an outstanding victory over Strabane, and an incredible comeback against Armagh City Eagles on the final day. The boys never stopped believing, never stopped working and never stopped playing for each other.

Defensively, they were superb for much of the tournament, staying compact, disciplined and making life difficult for every team we faced. Going forward, we grew in confidence as the week progressed, moved the ball with greater purpose and created more and more chances.

More importantly than any result, this week was about the team.

Every single player played their part. Every player contributed. The encouragement after mistakes, the celebrations after goals, the determination to keep going until the final whistle and the friendships that grew stronger each day were what made this tournament so special.

As coaches, we couldn't be prouder. The boys listened, learned, competed and represented the club with tremendous pride throughout the week.

A huge thank you also goes to all of our parents. The long journeys, time off work, lifts for other players and constant support made this experience possible. We genuinely couldn't have done it without you.

The tournament may be over, but this group has shown exactly what can be achieved through hard work, togetherness and belief. We leave the Foyle Cup with our heads held high and plenty to build on for the season ahead.

Enjoy the well-earned break, and we'll see everyone back for pre-season ready to go again.

What a week it's been.
I honestly couldn't be prouder of this group of boys. This was their very first Foyle Cup, and considering most of them have only recently made the move from indoor football with Score to the grass & 3g pitch, they have been absolutely outstanding.
Over the course of the week they played 9 matches, winning 6, drawing 1, and losing just 2. The results speak for themselves, but what impressed me even more was their determination, skill, teamwork and attitude from the first whistle to the last.
We've seen some fantastic goals, unbelievable saves, and every single player gave 100% in every game. They never stopped working for each other, no matter the score.
Just as importantly, they represented our club brilliantly off the pitch too. Their behaviour, respect and sportsmanship all week has been a credit to themselves, their families and our club.
This group has so much potential, and if this week is anything to go by, the future is very bright. We are already looking forward to next year's Foyle Cup!
Well done boys – you've made us all incredibly proud💙

What a performance….!What a team….

Every single player stepped up to the challenge in front of them. They brought courage, determination, resilience and heart, leaving absolutely everything on the pitch.

They embodied what being part of a team is all about…

Together. Everyone. Achieves. More.

After an outstanding first half, Ballymoney went in level at 1–1, with a superb goal from Zak Garrett.

The second half continued at an incredible pace, with Brajan Janakoski finding the net to make it 2–2, setting up a dramatic penalty shootout.

Football can be cruel, and despite a heroic effort, Ballymoney narrowly lost 3–2 on penalties.

The result will never define this team. To see a small local club stand shoulder to shoulder with a full-time professional academy like Dundee United, matching them every step of the way, was something truly special.

These are the moments these boys will remember for the rest of their lives, not because of the final score, but because of the character they showed, the friendships they strengthened, and the belief they discovered in themselves.

Be proud of what you’ve achieved. You’ve inspired your families, your coaches, your club and your community.

Congratulations, boys. You may not have lifted the trophy today, but you’ve earned something even greater…

Respect. Pride. Memories.

And those will last a lifetime. 💙⚽️🏆

🏆⚽ FOYLE CUP ROSEBOWL CHAMPIONS! ⚽🏆
What a week it was for our Ballymoney U17 Girls as a series of outstanding performances culminated in a fantastic Rosebowl Final victory, defeating Bonagee 2-1. Captain Summer led by example, scoring two tremendous free kicks to secure the trophy and cap off an excellent tournament for the squad.
The girls showed incredible determination throughout the week, particularly given that several members of the squad were unavailable. Their teamwork, commitment and resilience were evident in every game.
The tournament began with an impressive win over Cockhill Celtic, with goals from Lily (2), Maddie and Anna. Maddie continued her goalscoring form against Derry before netting a superb hat-trick against Portrush, with Summer (2) and Aoife (2) also getting on the scoresheet during the week.
Success was built on a solid defensive foundation, with Kaja outstanding between the posts and protected by a hardworking defence of Alicia, Casey, Nia, Niamh and Lily. In midfield, Summer and Aoife were ever-present, playing virtually every minute, while Cara, Kiera and Ellie provided excellent support and energy throughout the tournament. Up front, Claudia, Anna and Maddie were electric, creating and converting chances with quality and determination.
Most importantly, every player contributed to a memorable week and represented the club with pride, commitment and teamwork.
The girls will now enjoy a well-earned break from training, while several players continue to represent our senior squad. We look forward to regrouping and embarking on an exciting new challenge as we move into the South Belfast League in September.
👏 Congratulations to all of the players and thank you to the parents, supporters and coaches who helped make it such a successful week.
