Refuge Kids Summer Club 2026 🌞

Looking for something fun and active for the summer holidays? Join us for our Kids Summer Club!

📅 Dates:

* 27th–29th July
* 17th–19th August

💷 Prices:

* £25 for one 3-day block
* £40 for all 6 days
* 🎉 Multiple child family discount available!

⏰ Session Times:

* P1–P3: 11:00am–12:30pm
* P4–P7: 1:00pm–2:30pm

(Please book according to the class your child will be going into in September.)

🎯 What to expect:

* Fun games
* Team-building activities
* Fundamental movement skills development
* A friendly, active environment where children can build confidence, make friends, and have lots of fun!

📢 JULY HOLIDAY OPENING HOURS ☀️

Just a heads up that Refuge Gym will be closed for the July holidays on the following dates:

❌ Saturday 11th July
❌ Sunday 12th July
❌ Monday 13th July
❌ Tuesday 14th July

💪 We’re back to normal from Wednesday 15th July, with all classes and coaching running as usual.

Make the most of the long weekend, enjoy the break, and we’ll see you back in the gym ready to get after it! 👊

These pictures always stops me in my tracks.

I’m not great at looking back and being content with how far things have come. My head is always on what’s next… how we make this place better, how we improve the experience, how we raise the standard again.

But every year this photo pops up and it hits me.

I genuinely can’t believe what’s been built from where it started.

5 years of Refuge 😮‍💨💪🏻

If I’m honest, I never thought I’d make it to 5 😅

The reality of running a business is tough. It’s not what people see on the surface.

They don’t see the 80 hour weeks
The sleepless nights
The constant pressure
The stress that never really switches off

They don’t see the sacrifices either. Not just mine, but from the people around me. The missed time, the cancelled plans, the constant juggling.

But what makes it all worth it… is the people.

The people who have walked through these doors over the last 5 years.

Looking back through old photos, it’s mad to see how many people these four walls have helped. Physically, mentally, and everything in between.

Some are still here. Some have moved on to different paths.

But the goal has always been the same…

Leave people in a better place than when they started.

That’s what this place was built on.
And that’s what it will always stand for.

Today wasn’t about signing people up or trying to sell anything.

I opened the doors and gave everyone the chance to bring a friend, partner or family member for one reason…

To show them why they train here.

Why they make time for it
Why they need it in their life
Why they enjoy it
Why they keep coming back

One of my favourite quotes is:

“The right environment grows the right people.”

Today showed what we’ve grown.

Good people
Working hard
Pushing themselves
And having a laugh while doing it

No egos
No pressure
Nothing forced
Nothing fake

Everyone made to feel part of the community.

This place was built around what I believe a gym should be.

An environment where people feel comfortable walking in & challenged to be better every time they show up

And that only works when the right people are in the room

I’ve never chased people to join
Never begged for numbers
Never forced anyone to stay

Because this isn’t about being the biggest or the best

It’s about every single person leaving here
