A great afternoon out for some of our U13s and U15s who took part in a friendly 7 a-side fundraiser at Ballymoney Hockey Club. ☀️All teams played well and the U13 South Africa team went on to win the U13s tournament. Well done girls 💙💚

Congratulations to Penelope and Freya have been selected to represent Ulster U13s in Nottingham this July at the UK U13 Regional Championships at Beeston HC.

This is a brilliant achievement for two very talented young players and is a great recognition for all of their hard work in training. We wish them the best of luck as they compete this summer! 💙💚

Huge congratulations to Amelia on her selection for the Storm Academy Team 2026. Amelia will travel to Nottingham this July with Storm to compete in the UK U13 Regional Championships at Beeston HC.

After trialling last summer, she earned her place in the Storm Academy — a high-performance hockey development programme based at Rainey. Amelia has worked hard to develop her skills and gain valuable experience over the last 10 months of the programme.

Well done Amelia on your selection and good luck 💙💚

This weekend our very own Sally Ann is going to be representing Ireland O50’s in the Home Nations in Southgate, London. She has been selected for this after trials in November last year and January 2026, then travelling to Dublin for training sessions.

Sally Ann says she is playing with a super bunch of very determined ladies who play masters hockey and just shows at any level and age - hockey can be still played! So proud to be playing for Ballymena, Ulster and Ireland. 💪🏑🥰

Ballymena Hockey Club is extremely proud to see Mary Glass enjoying her day at the Hillsborough Garden Party. Mary was invited in recognition of her outstanding commitment and significant contribution to hockey within the Ballymena area.

Over many years, Mary has been a true ambassador for the sport, both as a player and a coach. She worked tirelessly to develop the mini and junior sections of the club, leaving a lasting legacy through her dedication, leadership, and commitment to nurturing young players and encouraging participation in hockey.

As a club, we are immensely grateful for the years of commitment, hard work, and service Mary has given to our hockey community. Her contribution has had a lasting impact on the club and on so many players throughout the years.
