Trying to get the thought of Chocolate out of your head on Day 1 of the New Year Diet like… 😬
For most of you today will be the start of a new diet or an attempt at “eating better”.
So how do we succeed at that?
Personally speaking, our preferred approach is to outline some simple but specific targets you want to hit each day.
We find the idea of exact meal plan where you’re told exactly what eat at what exact time just isn’t realistic or sustainable for 90% of people.
Instead, the targets idea gives you a good framework to base your day around, while giving you the flexibility you need around work, kids, socialising, commuting etc.
Here are 3 boxes we think you should be aiming for, regardless of your goal, that will make you feel better by the end of this week.
✅ Drink 1 litre of water a day. More is great if you can, but let’s not start off in too big a hurry.
✅ Eat 2 portions of vegetables a day. This means all you have to do is eat one portion at lunch, one at dinner.
✅ Exercise 20 minutes per day. Again, more is definitely better, but what we’re looking for here is just you to make exercise a habit each day. This can be as simple as a walk or some stretching, it doesn’t have to involve weights or anything intense.
If you’re feeling a bit overwhelmed with where to start, and want some guidance on how to make things a little more simple - our DMs are always open for questions. 🙂
