Get yourself and your friends to Parkgate for one last 'Donkey Derby' 🤠

It all started back in 2004 with an idea for a 'Wee day to raise money for charity'
Well that 'Wee Day' was so successful that a new tradition was born and became part of so many people's yearly family days out.

When Harry's son Ryan was diagnosed at age 9 with diabetes, little did we realize just how common it was and how many people we knew that were affected by it. The idea to raise some money for this worthy charity Diabetes UK NI was so well supported by family, friends, neighbour's, local businesses and the community itself.
The day has been a firm favorite and something that bit different for folk to attend, from donkeys and racing to tractors, bouncey castles, music, kids games, wheel barrow racing, homemade produce and stalls of all types. Your sure of a good days craic with something to suit all ages, even it is just the laugh of watching some headers embarrassing themselves in the Wheelbarrow race or trying to stay on the donkeys!

Many new friendships and memories have been made over the years and it has been a joy to have this event as part of our lives.

It is a lifetime achievement for the organizers, helpers and supporters, everyone who makes the day possible no matter how big or small you may feel your contribution is, we greatly appreciate it!
Thank you to everyone, infront and behind the scenes who make the day come togeather!

So that being said let's get ourselves up and over to Parkgate tomorrow on Saturday 2nd September at 12pm for the grand finale of Parkgate Donkey Day & Vintage Gathering!
