Cullybackey Blues FC 4-1 Carnlough Swifts
π΅ ANOTHER BIG 3 POINTS! π΅
Another big three points for our Morning Team yesterday as the Blues came away 4-1 winners against Carnlough Swifts.
The Blues started on the front foot and dominated possession, with the breakthrough coming on 30 minutes. A great cross from Cole Magill found Gary Glass, who brought it down well before finishing to make it 1-0.
Just three minutes later, it was 2-0. A scramble in the box fell to Rob Kelly, who made no mistake to double our lead.
It was then 3-0 in the same minute as Marc Faulkner collected a weak pass from the Carnlough defence, drove into the box, beat three defenders and finished brilliantly.
Carnlough pulled one back in the 89th minute, but the Blues responded immediately. Kenzie McFall showed great footwork to play in Cammy McMullan, who finished well to make it 4-1 in the 90th minute.
Another excellent result and another three points for the Blues! ππ

Cullybackey Blues Dev 2-3 Wellington Rec Swifts
π΅ A GREAT FIRST COMPETITIVE GAME! π΅
Another good display from our Development Team in their first ever competitive game, narrowly losing 3-2 to a strong Wellington Rec Swifts side.
The Blues took the lead around the 30th minute, with Marc Faulkner finding the net once again after featuring for both teams yesterday β and scoring for both! π
We held the lead well until around the 65th minute, when tired legs started to show and Wellington found an equaliser. Two quick goals followed to put us 3-1 down.
The lads kept fighting, with Jordy Balmer finding the net to make it 3-2, but unfortunately we couldnβt find the equaliser.
Plenty to work on, but lots of positives to take from our first competitive outing. π
