Our full pre-season schedule is now confirmed, including all training dates, locations, and kick-off times.

We’ve put together a challenging and competitive pre-season programme to get the squad ready for the upcoming Division 2 campaign, with a great mix of training sessions and fixtures.

Whether you’re a returning player or looking for a new challenge, we’d love to see some new faces come along and join the lads as we prepare for the season ahead.

With the season now behind us and promotion secured to Division 2 of the BSML, it’s time to get back to work 💪

Pre-season training starts on Saturday 27th June from 10am–12pm at The Hill.

We’re looking to build on the great young squad we already have as we prepare to compete in Division 2 next season. We’ve got an action-packed pre-season lined up and would love to see some new faces come in and help keep this team moving forward.

There are so many exciting things coming for the new season, and now is the perfect time to be part of it.

Another huge Thank you has to go out to Ald Stewart McDonald he just keeps delivering for the Blues ! We came to Stewart some time ago and told him how bad the lights were come the dark nights and we struggled taking training because of this and Stewart got straight on and got it sorted with all new floodlights now up at the Community Centre ! This will be a huge help come the darker nights again and we can’t thank Stewart enough for his help yet again with this ! Your support is greatly appreciated by all at the Blues !

Cullybackey Blues FC 2-2 Toome F.C

Yesterday’s match against Toome had absolutely EVERYTHING — goals, tackles, late drama, and in the end… PROMOTION SECURED 💙

Cullybackey started the game flying and got off the mark early when a dangerous ball whipped across the box by Diego Fletcher was met by none other than Gary Glass, who tapped home to make it 1-0 on 12 minutes.

The Blues doubled the lead just five minutes later when Gary Glass calmly converted from the penalty spot on the 17th minute to make it 2-0 — taking his league tally to an unbelievable 39 goals for the season… like fine wine GG 🍷

For the rest of the first half we controlled the game well and looked the stronger side, creating chances but just unable to add to the scoreline. We went in at half time 2-0 up and looking very comfortable.

The second half, unfortunately, was a different story.

We started slowly and became sloppy in areas, giving away silly free kicks — something we knew Toome could punish us from. They grabbed one back on the 74th minute and suddenly had all the momentum.

Changes were made to try and get us back into the game, but deep into injury time the pressure really came on. On the 92nd minute Toome found their second goal to make it 2-2.

With five minutes added on, nerves were everywhere. We knew a draw was all we needed… and somehow, the lads dug in and saw it out.

THE BLUES ARE BACK IN THE SECOND DIVISION 💙

What a team. Every single one of these young lads has been relentless all season. Their work rate, attitude, and commitment have been unbelievable from start to finish.

It just shows how competitive this league was that we finished the campaign with only TWO defeats and still didn’t win the league — massive credit to the league winners as well 👏🏼

A huge thank you to every player this season. Whether you played every minute or only a handful of games, every single one of you played your part in this achievement.

Special mention again to Gary Glass, who we found out today is one of the top scorers in Northern Irish football this year , what a stat !

Thank you to the coaches and management team for everything done on and off the pitch — this wouldn’t have been possible without you.

To the committee, the work behind the scenes this year has been outstanding and everyone will see the benefits of that heading into next season.

And finally, thank you to every sponsor who supported the club this year — whether it was kits, tracksuits, training gear, or match balls. None of this happens without your support and we are hugely grateful. A separate post will follow soon to properly thank all of our sponsors.
