Glenshee Ski Centre is the largest ski resort in Scotland and is sometimes referred to as the Scottish three valleys. It is located in Aberdeenshire and to the north of Spittal of Glenshee, on the A93 road between Blairgowrie and Braemar in the southern Highlands of Scotland. With 22 lifts, 36 runs and limited snowmaking capabilities it is the UK's largest snowsport

s resort. The ski area is just north of the Cairnwell Pass at the head of Glen Shee on either side of the A93 road. The western sector is a bowl encompassing The Cairnwell (933 m) and Càrn Aosda (917 m) mountains. The eastern side extends via Sunnyside onto two further mountains, Meall Odhar (922 m) and Glas Maol (1068 m). Most of the area is served by a panoramic we**am. The main ski centre buildings are at an elevation of 650 metres. The resort covers 790 hectares and has 40 km of pisted runs graded as 8 Greens, 13 Blues, 13 Reds and 2 Blacks. There are three chairlifts, three T-bar lifts, and the remaining sixteen are button lifts, mostly of the Poma type.

Summer Chairlift is in operation 7 days a week (weather permitting) with hooks on for your mountain bikes (sorry we do not hire these so you need to bring your own) the Chairlift runs from 9.30am to 4.15pm, our T@theshee Café is also open 7 days a week from 8.30am to 4.45pm , serving lots of variety of hot and cold food , cakes and drinks. also well behaved dogs are welcome so why not come and say hello if your passing by 😀

Love to work up in the mountains and enjoy the views then we have a job for you.
We are currently looking for an Assistant chef/cook. willing to work the front counter at times, and weekends , at least 1 years experience would be an advantage along with a food hygiene certificate , hours are 8 hours per day , 5 days per week (may look at 4 days) . help to prepare food, keep kitchen clean , serve customers at the front counter, help with all over duties when required. if interested please send your cv to [email protected].

We are Hiring 😀
We are looking to add some extra staff to our team see below

1 x Cook/Café Assistant - Full time 40 hours per week, weekend work will be required, to assist at the front of house and also take on cooking duties when required.

1 x Joiner - Part or Full time hours to help with repairs, Hut building etc, willing to work outside and help in other departments if required.

1 x Maintenance/Lift Operator - Full Time hours 40 per week , willing to work outside to help with operations on the hill and operate the lifts when required, along with work in other departments if required.

Daily hours are 8.30am to 5pm (some weekends maybe required), staff transport available from Ballater, Braemar, Alyth or Blairgowrie.

Sledging slope is open at the top of Cairnwell Chairlift. Normal Summer Chairlift prices, Adult £16, Junior £12, Under 5 £3, Family (2 Adilts+ 2 Kids) £50, Sledge pass for 1 hour of the sledge £5. All tickets are available at the cafe.

Looking nice this morning. It's a bit patchy. But there are ways down and it'll be interesting. Caenlochan and the home run are complete and Sunnyside Chair run is skiable. Tamdearg for getting back to base down main sunnyside run.
We should also have Cairnwell Chairlift on for the brave as there is still a run down the Tiger , which is narrow in places on the steep. The skiing won't be suitable for beginners.

We will be opening tomorrow it's a bit patchy but still good spring snow on Caenlochan and the home run. We may also have a run down Sunnyside Chair. It's likely to be the last of it this weekend with Saturday looking to be the best weather wise due to higher winds forecast for Sunday, which might affect the operation of the chairlift.
