For a long time I was looking at Daniel trying to understand his dysregulation.

And then I looked at myself.

Stressed. Overwhelmed. Running on empty. Not regulated at all.

He was learning from me. Children don't do what we say- they do what we are.

The moment I accepted that, I stopped trying to fix him and started working on myself. My nervous system. My responses. My presence.

And he shifted with me.

This is the thing nobody tells you. You cannot pour from an empty cup but more than that, what's in your cup is what they're drinking.

He's not a difficult child.
He needed me to go first.

And in going first for him, I became someone completely different.

Someone better. For him. And for me. 💙

If you've been going to classes four times a week and wondering why your body isn't changing > this is why.

Cardio has its place. I'm not anti-cardio. But if it's the only tool in your kit, you are missing the thing that actually transforms how your body looks and functions.

From your mid-thirties, you start losing muscle mass. Not because of anything you've done wrong, it's just physiology. But the way you counter it matters enormously.

Strength training tells your body to hold onto muscle. And muscle is what gives you shape, speeds up your metabolism, protects your bones, and balances your hormones.

Women who lift aren't bulky. They're strong, lean, and energised. And they get results that cardio alone never delivers.

If you’re starting your day with yoghurt and still starving by 10am, this is for you.

Here’s a balanced fat-loss breakfast that actually keeps you full and fuels your training:

High-Protein Breakfast Yogurt Bowl:
• 200g 0% Greek yoghurt
• 1 scoop protein powder (vanilla works best)
• 1 tbsp chia seeds
• 1 handful berries or a sliced banana

This takes under 3 minutes to make and saves you from constant snacking later.

Fat loss doesn’t need to be extreme. It needs to be sustainable.

The last 2 weeks have been fun but exhausting.

Totally out of my normal routine and it got me thinking that that is normally just how summer is!

We attend more events, we drink more, we eat more but its for longer than 2 weeks!

So what we need to do now is to plan ahead for this season of life where we want to have just as much fun but still feel energised, because that is when this becomes a lifestyle that you really enjoy.

No one wants to feel unhealthier right? So our direction is healthier, stronger and have more energy.

My 3 things, my non negotiables, my top tips for you to enjoy this more.

I turned thirty nine this week.

This is the best I have ever felt in my entire life. The confidence, the friendships, the physical condition, and this quiet knowing that I am exactly where I am supposed to be.

I didn't always feel this way. Not even close.

This week on my blog I'm sharing what I believe had the biggest impact on getting me here. It involves my son Daniel, a decision I made alone, and something I talk about in my coaching that I think every woman needs to hear.
