This weekend, we welcome Gresford Cricket Club 2nd XI to Castle Park for the return fixture after a 12–3 point victory away at Gresford last weekend.

It was a strong and hard-fought performance, but that result is now behind us. Gresford will come to Bala looking for a response, and we know we will need to be at our best from the very first ball.

With the season reaching a crucial stage, every game matters. The focus is simple: stay disciplined, play positive cricket and make home advantage count.

Clwb Criced Y Bala produced a fantastic fightback to secure a 3-wicket victory away at Gresford, chasing down 161 in a thrilling finish.

After Gresford won the toss and elected to bat, Bala put in a strong bowling performance to bowl the home side out for 160 in 33.2 overs.

In reply, Bala’s chase became a real test of character. At 107-7, the game looked to be slipping away as Caio Jones joined Karan Vasani at the crease.

What followed was an outstanding display of composure, determination and maturity from both players. With the pressure firmly on, Karan and Caio put together a match-winning 50+ partnership, refusing to give Gresford another chance to get back into the game.

Karan played a brilliant innings of 33, while Caio remained not out on 16, guiding Bala over the line as they reached 162-7.

A fantastic performance from both players when it mattered most, stepping up in a difficult situation and finding a way to win the game for Bala.

Bala travel to Gresford Cricket Club this Saturday for another huge North Wales Cricket League Division 4 fixture.

With just four games remaining, every match is now crucial as Bala continue their push for a top-two finish. The players know exactly what is at stake, but the focus is simple — take each game as it comes and give everything from the very first ball.

Bala go into the fixture full of confidence after some strong recent performances, including a brilliant batting display last weekend. However, Gresford will provide a tough test, especially on their home ground, and Bala will need to be switched on in all three departments.

What a performance from the team today! Clwb Criced Y Bala 1st XI produced another outstanding all-round display to secure a huge 217-run victory away at Ruthin.

Batting first, Bala posted a massive 364/6 from 40 overs 💥

Batting first, Jason Jones and Jack White put together an incredible 189-run partnership that completely took the game away from Ruthin.
