THE HAIRY HELMET

Running relays; Flashbacks of a plastic baton, a bad handover and school sports days. I quickly realised the Hairy Helmut was slightly different, as a banana, a beer bottle and a runner riding an inflatable horse lined-up. Cue 4 legs of 2.1 miles of organised running chaos in Darley Park, Derby. Four BAC teams were there in full force, The Red Knights, The Golden Crown, The Black Knights and The Royal
Raiders - though only Claire entered into the true medieval fancy dress spirit putting the rest of us to shame. There’s always next year…
